Chinese On May 12, 2024, on Mother's Day, a warm spring day, 15 families from China and Japan gathered at the Kagawa Prefecture Social Welfare Center to celebrate Mother's Day together, enhance communication and express their gratitude for the great mother's love. The event was hosted by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka, the Federation of Overseas Chinese in the Four Countries, and the Japan-China Friendship Association of Takamatsu City. Co-organized by the China Tourism Representative Office in Osaka and the Guoguo Chinese and English Classroom; Kagawa Prefecture, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture International Exchange Association, Takamatsu City International Exchange Association support.
At the event, Mao Yong, executive director of the Four Nations Federation of Overseas Chinese, delivered a speech on behalf of the organizers, thanking the participants for their support and opening the whole event. He also expressed his hope that in this heartwarming event, everyone can spend unforgettable times together and create wonderful memories together.
First of all, the lecturer explained the origin of the Chinese character "mother" from the perspective of cultural inheritance. Then led everyone to learn Chinese children's songs together. The singing of "My Good Mother" filled the scene with a strong warm atmosphere. Immediately afterwards, the recitation of a poem "The Wanderer's Yin" more than 1,200 years ago brought everyone into the world of poetry full of longing and gratitude. During the interactive session, the children were asked, "What did Mommy do for us?" This question touched everyone's heartstrings, and the emotion and joy spread through the venue.
The next rock-paper-scissors parent-child game to give a loving kiss to mom pushed the parent-child relationship to a climax, and the children participated in the game with their mothers to enjoy the family moment. One of the most anticipated sessions is making Mother's Day cards and flower arrangements. Under the professional guidance, the children and parents work together, and each flower carries the affectionate blessing of mother's love.
Finally, the children used the Chinese "Mom, thank you, I love you" that day to pay a loud tribute to their mother's love, and the activity ended successfully in touching and warm laughter. This Mother's Day flower arrangement activity is not only a lecture hall for Chinese culture learning, but also a gathering for emotional exchange. Through this form, the participants not only learned Chinese expression and other related knowledge, but also kept the friendship between China and Japan in their hearts through emotional exchanges.
