Toyota has begun to move into the field of electric vehicles in recent years, and in the middle of the year, the BZ4X pure electric model was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show last year.
Recently, the car has announced the price in the European market, taking the British market as an example, it has launched a total of 6 configuration models, the price range is 41,950-51,550 pounds, equivalent to 358,000-440,000 yuan. At the same time, the fastest time for the introduction of new cars in China is the end of 2022.
The bz4X exterior adopts a complex line design, with a sneakback shape and a two-tone body, the overall personalization. The new car is based on the Toyota e-TNGA concept dedicated platform, positioned as a compact SUV, with a body size of 4690/1860/1650mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm. The overall size is relatively similar to the Tesla Model Y.
Inside the car, the forward-shifting dashboard is futuristic so that it can be used as a HUD head-up display. The size of the central control screen is 12.3 inches, and its built-in car machine system supports network navigation, parking lot information viewing, voice recognition control, OTA cloud upgrade, mobile phone digital key and other functions.
Thanks to the e-TNGA pure electric platform, the new car's second-row floor is almost completely flat, and the distance between the front and rear seats is 1,000 mm, which is beyond the mid-size SUV without any pressure.
In the power part, the bz4X provides front-drive and four-wheel drive models, the maximum power of the front-drive model motor is 204 horsepower, the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive model is 109 horsepower, and the comprehensive power of the system is 245 horsepower; the acceleration of 100 kilometers is 8.4 seconds and 7.4 seconds, respectively. In terms of endurance, the new car is equipped with a 71.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which has a cruising range of 500 km and 460 km under WLTC standard operating conditions.
In my personal opinion, such endurance, with such pricing, toyota wants to get a good start. If the price is still 358,000-440,000 yuan in China, consumers can choose Tesla Model Y, or even a new power brand, which is stronger than Toyota BZ4X. What's more, Toyota's domestic charging station layout can be said to be no, under which who will choose such a car? Even the "big standard" Mercedes-Benz did this, and it only had a dismal ending.
