Zhao Sheng (c. 308 BC – 251 BC), one of the Four Princes of the Warring States, was a nobleman of the State of Zhao. Son of King Wuling of Zhao and younger brother of King Huiwen. Known for his meritocracy, he is known as the Prince of the Plains.

Moreover, I have heard that Shang Tang once ruled the world with a seventy-mile radius, and King Wen of Zhou made the princes of the world submit with a land the size of a hundred miles, was it because they had a large number of soldiers, but in fact, because they were good at grasping the situation and struggling to carry forward their own might. At present, the territory of the Chu State stretches for 5,000 miles and has millions of soldiers, which is the capital on which the king strives for hegemony. With the Chu State so powerful, no one in the world could stop its might. At this time, Mao Sui held up a plate of blood in his left hand, and greeted the nineteen people with his right hand, saying: "You are also sucking the blood in the plate together in the hall, although you are mediocre, you can also complete the task, which is to say rely on the strength of others to complete your own task."

Zhao Sheng confirmed the alliance and returned to the Zhao Kingdom, and after returning to the Zhao Kingdom, he said, "I dare not observe and identify talents anymore.
