On January 7, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission announced: Since the successful discharge of 14 cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia on January 5, another 14 cases were carefully diagnosed and treated and cared for by the medical staff of the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center on January 7, and the expert group evaluated that it met the discharge criteria of the latest confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia of the National Health Commission and was cured and discharged on the same day.

Of the 14 confirmed cases, all are Chinese nationals. Aged 24-68 years old, the condition is mild or ordinary, during the hospital to give anti-infection, traditional Chinese medicine, strengthen nutrition and symptomatic supportive treatment and other treatment measures, is now cured and recovered and discharged from the hospital.

Mr. Wang, 41, entered Shanghai Pudong International Airport from Congo on December 21 last year, and was admitted to the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center for treatment after being diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 24. After being admitted to the hospital, he was impressed by the intimate care of the medical staff, whether it was a consultation about his own disease or a counseling for mental health, which made him feel warm. After receiving the notice of discharge, he wrote a special thank-you letter to express his gratitude.

Also feeling the same way is 26-year-old Ms. Zhang, who not only has a close relationship with medical care, but also becomes a good friend with the patients around her and adds friends to each other on social software. On the same day, she was discharged from the hospital before the patients, but she said that she would cheer up the patients through the video and continue this rare friendship.

In order to do a good job in the task of medical treatment, in view of the recent increase in imported cases abroad, the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center not only timely supplemented the medical backbone to enrich the frontline, but also prepared enough beds to ensure that every patient can get the treatment they deserve. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the disease, we will constantly adjust the treatment measures, strengthen humanized services, and improve the level of treatment from the aspects of mental health, language translation, diet management, and batch treatment. After recovery and discharge, the health management of discharged patients will also be done, and the health department will carry out necessary follow-up observation of patients.
