It is understood that the new plant covers an area of 630,000 square meters and will be put into operation in 2024 and has an annual production capacity of more than 120,000 vehicles. The plant has a complete production process for electric vehicles and has an industry-leading level of automation. At the same time, the construction of the factory will implement the "double carbon" goal, and save resources through the use of renewable energy such as solar power generation and water recycling and reuse, so as to achieve energy conservation and environmental protection and promote sustainable development.
The landing of Dongfeng Honda's new energy plant is also another trend of Dongfeng Company in the field of new energy vehicles after the establishment of the Lantu brand. In the future, Dongfeng will focus on the two major areas of new energy and intelligent driving, and continuously accelerate the transformation to a technology-based enterprise. It is understood that Dongfeng plans to achieve the goal of annual production and sales of 1 million new energy vehicles during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.
