Honda's final vehicle sales in China in January 146641 units down 6.9% y/y

On February 9, Zhichepai learned that Honda officially released its terminal car sales in China in January 2022. According to the data, Honda's terminal car sales in China in January were 146641 units, down 6.9% year-on-year.

Among them, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. finalized 79,973 vehicles in January, a slight increase of 1.11% year-on-year, and achieved a steady start in 2022; Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. ended up selling 66,668 vehicles in January.

In terms of specific models, the monthly terminal sales of ACCORD models exceeded 20,000 units; the monthly terminal sales of six models including VEZEL, BREEZE, CR-V, CIVIC, XR-V and INSPIRE exceeded 10,000 units. Monthly final sales of models equipped with the SPORT HYBRID high-efficiency dual-motor hybrid system reached 21,206 units.

It is worth mentioning that Honda previously released its terminal car sales in China for the whole year of 2021. According to the data, Honda's cumulative sales of terminal cars in China last year were 1561540, compared with 96.0% in the same period. Among them, the cumulative terminal sales of Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. for the whole year were 768268 vehicles; the cumulative sales of Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. for the whole year was 793272 vehicles. Looking ahead, there have been media reports that Honda will fully launch its pure electric vehicle business in China and strive to sell 800,000 pure electric vehicles by 2030.
