During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in our country, there was such a Red Army general who lost contact with his wife during the war, but the chairman did not tell his wife the news of his sacrifice, and then knew that her wife had waited for 70 years before learning the news that her husband had died. So what exactly is the reason? Who is he? Why keep the news of his death secret?

The sacrificial general called

Li Cailian

The wife waited for 70 years to learn that her husband had been killed, but the great man ordered not to tell her, and finally suddenly realized

Li Cailian, a native of Hetang, a rich village in Tea Garden Township, was born into a poor peasant family. When she was young, Li Cailian was oppressed by the landlord's old wealth. Although the landscape of his hometown is picturesque and the scenery is beautiful, like all poor children, his childhood life does not have much color. Fortunately, his father was more enlightened and far-sighted, and although the family was difficult to cope with, he borrowed money to send Li Cailian to the youth school in Haoxi, a tea garden. Li Cailian knows that reading opportunities are not easy to come by, so she is diligent and studious, and her grades have always been excellent.

In 1928, he joined the secret peasant association and began to embark on the revolutionary road. In the winter of the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China. In August 1929, he was ordered to transfer Wan'an Wenzhi District (Huangtang) to carry out revolutionary work. This is a guerrilla zone, and through his going deep among the masses to propagate the revolution and mobilize the masses to rise up in struggle, this place has become a red area under Yangduan County.

In the spring of 1930, Li Cailian entered the Gannan Cadre School to study, and after graduating, she was assigned to work in Shangyou County in southwest Jiangxi. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Gannan Office. In 1931, Li Cailian returned to Shangyu as the former secretary of the district party committee of the CCP camp. During this period, he attended the First Congress of Soviets in Jiangxi Province. In the spring of the same year, the Red Army attacked Ganzhou, and he joined the local workers' and peasants' armed forces and participated in the battle with the Red Third Army. In September, he was appointed secretary of the Children's Bureau of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and later became the secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

In 1933, he was transferred to the secretary of the Fujian Jianning Central County Party Committee of the Young Communist Party.

Later, in April 1935, the guerrillas were surrounded by Kuomintang government troops in the Ruijin Tongbao Mountain Area. During the breakout, he was killed by a traitor from the guard squad, when he was only 21 years old.

The chairman was very sorry after learning that Li Cailian had been killed, and after learning about the situation in his home, he immediately concealed the news of Li Cailian's sacrifice.

The wife waited for 70 years to learn that her husband had been killed, but the great man ordered not to tell her, and finally suddenly realized

Because, Li Cailian also has a young wife in her family, she has been searching hard and waiting for her husband's return. At that time, Chi Yuhua, who was only nine years old at that time, was sent to the Li family to be a child bride for the six-year-old Li Cailian, and the two were green plum bamboo horses, and later the seventeen-year-old Chi Yuhua married the fourteen-year-old Li Cailian. Three days after their marriage, he left his wife and threw himself into the revolutionary struggle. Chi Yuhua, who couldn't help but miss her, came to see Li Cailian, and when she was leaving, Li Cailian said to her, "After the success of the revolution, I will definitely go home!" ”

After a long time, his wife Chi Yuhua has not received news from Li Cailian, so she began to inquire around, in 1933, after learning about her husband's work location, Chi Yuhua insisted on walking for five or six days to her husband's work unit, she said that she hoped to follow Li Cailian's side to help him work, rather than waiting alone at home, but for practical reasons, Li Cailian still rejected Chi Yuhua. Since then, it has entered an endless waiting.

Chi Yuhua never waited for her husband from the victory of the Long March to the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression to the founding of New China, but she always believed that her husband was still alive. Waiting for so many years of ups and downs, still not waiting for Li Cailian's return, this wait is 70 years, more than half a century, ah, sad.

The wife waited for 70 years to learn that her husband had been killed, but the great man ordered not to tell her, and finally suddenly realized

During this period, she also wrote letters to the chairman asking about her husband's whereabouts, and the chairman would tell her with a white lie that Li Cailian would definitely come back.

It was not until 1983 that the government sent Chi Yuhua a martyr's certificate, when she learned that her husband Li Cailian was long gone, and looked back to see that the tattered threshold in front of the house had been sunken by her, waiting day by day, living in torment and anxiety, which was the power of love that made her inseparable.

Chi Yuhua's waiting for more than half a century is a symbol of love, she silently and unconditionally supports her husband Li Cailian in her struggle for the revolutionary cause, and we should praise and praise this great love.
