First of all, General Ye Ting, who is very familiar to us, was admitted to the sixth term of the Baoding Military Academy at the age of 21, performed very positively, and wrote a letter to the "New Youth" magazine to discuss China's future development path.
Later, Ye Ting served as the commander of the Independent Regiment of the 4th Army of the National Revolutionary Army, became a famous general of the Northern Expedition, and later participated in the Nanchang Uprising, and after the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance, he became the commander of the New Fourth Army, and even the chairman said that he was "the first commander-in-chief of the Communist Party, and the history of the people's army should be written from you."
In the sixth period, there are two Guangdong compatriots of Ye Ting, who are also of the same age, namely Xue Yue and Zhang Fakui.
Like Ye Ting, these two famous generals were born in 1896 and were also admitted to the sixth phase of the Baoding Military Academy, of course, some people have also verified that Xue Yue did not enter the Baoding Military Academy, but Xue Yue's own memoirs have confirmed this matter, and there is no need to discuss it anymore.
In modern history, the great names of Xue Yue and Zhang Fakui are not lower than Ye Ting, such as Xue Yue, who commanded the large-scale Battle of Changsha, known as the "Chinese who killed the most Japanese", and was therefore called "the first famous anti-Japanese general" by many people.

Before the incident in southern Anhui, Gu Zhutong and Shangguan Yunxiang also sent a telegram to Ye Ting in the name of their classmates, saying that they would rest assured that they would go north and absolutely ensure the safety of the New Fourth Army. As a result, the two executioners completely disregarded the friendship of their classmates and brazenly launched the Anhui Southern Incident, causing irreparable losses to the New Fourth Army.
Later, Gu Zhutong continued to be highly valued by Chiang Kai-shek, promoted to a first-class general, and was also designated by Chiang Kai-shek as a "minister of gu orders" to continue to assist Chiang Ching-kuo.
