Gao Renshan, eight years younger than Jiang Menglin, was born in September 1894 in Guanyin Temple, Jiangyin County, Jiangsu Province, into a family of scholars. Xu Xianle is a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and is a scholar of Xiangmendi. Great-grandfather Xu Shou was a famous scientist and writer in the late Qing Dynasty, and the first person in China to establish a shipbuilding industry.

Xu Xianle is the youngest of Xu Jiabao's four daughters and was once recognized as a school flower at Shanghai Guanghua University. After graduating from university, Xu Xianle went to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in the 1940s, Xu Xianle became acquainted with Lieutenant General Yang Jie of the Army, and soon fell in love.
Yang Jiezi Geng Guang, a famous military figure in modern times, a Bai ethnic group in Dali, Yunnan, was born in 1889, and Xu Xianle was nearly 20 years old. Yang Jie had participated in the Patriotic Army led by Cai Yi, followed Sun Yat-sen, and participated in the Northern Expedition.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Yang Jie had close contacts with Zhou Enlai and Dong Biwu, who were in Chongqing, and gradually moved closer to the CCP in terms of ideological tendencies. On April 10, Jiang Menglin formally requested a divorce from the Taipei District Court on the grounds that she was "unable to bear the pain of Xu Niang's abuse", and then held a special press conference.
