After the TV series "Iron Tooth Copper Tooth Ji Xiaolan" became popular, in the eyes of many people, Ji Xiaolan was a talented figure who was incorruptible, sentient, and had poetry in his belly, especially his battle of wits and courage with the corrupt official and The Great Corrupt Official, which was even more gratifying. He Yan is the main villain in the play, and Ji Xiaolan as the protagonist is naturally a decent person. However, is Ji Xiaolan really the same as in TV in history? The answer is very different.

Ji Xiaolan's original name was Ji Yun, Xiaolan is his character, Ji Yun was born in the second year of Qing Yongzheng (1724), his ancestral home was in Shangyuan County, Yingtian Province. Ji Xiaolan's talent is indisputable, and in the eighth year of Yongzheng (1730), ji Yun, who was only 6 years old, took part in the boy exam and received the title of "prodigy".
In the eighth year of Qianlong (1743), Ji Yun participated in the scientific examination and won the first place. In August of the twelfth year of Qianlong (1747), Ji Yun took the examination in Yingshun Tianfu Township and won the championship again with the first place Xie Yuan. In the nineteenth year of Qianlong (1754), Ji Yun entered the career path again.
As in the TV series, Ji Xiaolan often accompanied Qianlong after becoming an official. Qianlong was very appreciative of Ji Xiaolan's talent and often wrote poems together, so it was rumored that the last sentence in Qianlong's only poem "Flying Snow" that was selected for the primary school class was given by Ji Xiaolan.
Qianlong wrote more than 20,000 poems in his lifetime, but very few have really survived. Although Ji Xiaolan did not write much poetry, he could often become a classic, such as a sentence: "The great master drips water into the cave, and the princes Dai Lu chaotian", which perfectly expresses his loyalty to the imperial court and Qianlong.
Ji Xiaolan also published a very famous book, which is "Notes on Reading Wei Caotang". This is a story book about various foxes, ghosts, gods, and karma, and has shared the reputation of the sea compared with famous works such as "Dream of the Red Chamber" and "Liaozhai Zhiyi". However, what should be particularly mentioned here is that the book "Notes on Reading Wei Caotang" has a lot of "unselected" content. It is inconvenient to say more, excerpt a few sentences for everyone to experience:
"My maternal uncle Ma's family was a tenant, nearly sixty years old, walking alone in the rain, thunder and lightning, and a dragon's claw pressed on its kasa, thinking that it should be cursed by heaven, palpitations, and the dragon shattered its jaws, thinking that it was a robe and then torturing it. Unexpectedly, the dragon turned its back, based on the land, slightly turned sideways to avoid, roared angrily and grinded its teeth on the top, feared to devour, did not dare to move, moved for a moment or two, and began to thunder and go. Groaning and salivating, fortunately his son came to greet him with a cockroach, but he returned with a negative. ”
It is definitely not intended to destroy the image of "Ji Xiaolan", but the image of Ji Xiaolan is really difficult to say. In the "Insect Song Chronicle", Cai Yuzhi said: "Ji Xiaolan said that he was a wild monster who turned around, took meat as his meal, took no grain of rice into his mouth, and counted the number of women in the day." The five drums are like once in the morning, once in the retreat, once at noon, once in the twilight, and once in the bed. Indispensable. In addition, those who are happy and fortunate often have it. ”
So in general, Ji Xiaolan has two good in his life, one is lustful, and the other is good at writing poetry couplets. Sometimes this Ji Xiaolan often combines them again. For example, when Ji Xiaolan pursued his wife Ma Yuefang, he once wrote such a couplet.
Ma Yuefang produced a couplet to let Ji Xiaolan pair, and only agreed to ask for affection. Ma Yuefang's upper link is: "Qian Bagua, Kun Bagua, Eight Eight Sixty-Four Gua, Gua Gua Qiankun has been determined." ”
Ji Xiaolan sighed for a moment and then said, "Nine voices of luans, nine sounds of phoenixes, nine sounds of nine nine eighty-one sounds, birth of luan phoenix and ming." "It's amazing.
Ji Xiaolan's talent not only allowed him to successfully embrace the beauty, but also attracted many disciples of the family to worship under his door. Among them was a student named Wang Xiping, who passed the jinshi examination under the guidance of Ji Xiaolan.
In ancient times, entering the examination meant entering the bureaucratic class, and Wang Xiping not only passed the examination for the jinshi, but also formed a relationship with the daughter of a waiter soon after, and the future was just around the corner.
Therefore, Ji Xiaolan was also very happy, so he wrote a couplet to send on Wang Xiping's big wedding day, this couplet is "Ping Ping Ping
The bride and groom were all confused after reading it, and they didn't know what Ji Xiaolan had written? Wang Xiping thought that the teacher was deliberately testing himself, so he was thinking left and right, and he had to understand this couplet before he would give up.
When the guests were gone, he was still studying. Seeing that the husband was absent-mindedly studying the couplet, the wife also studied it with him. The two didn't fully understand what Ji Xiaolan's couplet was all about all night.
The next morning, Wang Xiping studied again before he had time to wash up, and suddenly he suddenly realized and laughed three times. The bride was woken up and asked him what was wrong?
Wang Xiping said to his wife: "If you want to read it together with the horizontal batch, you will understand what it is" The wife silently read it again according to the method taught by the groom, and immediately understood what it meant. Immediately his face turned red, and he scolded Ji Xiaolan for being an "old villain", and quipped with the groom: "The upper beam is not right and the lower beam is crooked." Later, when Wang Xiping took his wife to Ji Xiaolan's house as a guest, he also specifically talked about this matter to Ji Xiaolan's concubine Guo Caifu, and the other party also smiled awkwardly and did not know how to answer.
