Why does a white-haired old man have a gun that ordinary people can't touch, and he doesn't turn it in? Through the intervention of the local authorities, people understand that there are many articles in it.
1. Joined the army at the age of 13
The old man's name is Teng Xiyuan, a glorious veteran of the Last Century who participated in the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Kuomintang Civil War and the Korean War. Since 1996, when Laiwu, Shandong Province, began a large-scale search of residents illegally possessing guns and ammunition, someone had reported the situation of the elderly Teng Xiyuan to the local authorities, and when the police came to the old man's home to try to investigate and collect evidence and understand the relevant matters, they learned the true identity of the old man and the hidden plot of "hiding the gun" behind it.

However, due to the influence of the living environment and quality level, 13-year-old Teng Xiyuan looked a little malnourished, at that time he was gaunt, short in stature, almost no one believed that he was 13 years old, so it was not easy to arrange for him to go to the front line to fight, after all, in terms of Teng Xiyuan's body, he was completely unsuitable for marching and fighting.
But, as the Western proverb says, "God will surely open a window for you if he closes a door." Although Teng Xiyuan looks thin and short, this is also a big advantage for him from another point of view, although he is not suitable for the front line, but he does have a hand in reconnaissance and infiltration of enemy lines, plus he often dresses up as a beggar is really painful, so he has repeatedly interspersed behind enemy lines to collect intelligence.

In the end, after a long journey, Teng Xiyuan made contact with the fourth detachment of the Eighth Route Army, and happened to encounter the encirclement and suppression of the fourth detachment by the Japanese army that year, in this battle, the cunning Japanese army first seized a favorable position and posed a great threat to the Eighth Route Army, the casualties on both sides were rising, and the commanders and fighters of the Eighth Route Army who could not take the commanding heights were also very anxious in their hearts.
At a time when everyone was at a loss, Teng Xiyuan found through observation that the reason why the Japanese troops entrenched on the opposite hill were able to repel the attacks of the Eighth Route Army many times was because some people used banners to contact other troops, so that the Eighth Route Army could not form an effective blow against them.
Then, Teng Xiyuan, who discovered the secret, immediately took up his gun, aimed at the Japanese soldier who was playing the flag opposite and pulled the trigger, and as soon as the gun sounded, the Japanese flag soldier fell to the ground in response. In this way, Teng Xiyuan's first battle to the fourth detachment became a key figure in breaking the situation, and for this reason, everyone looked at him with astonishment.
After this battle, Teng Xiyuan also received commendations from higher departments, among which, the commander of the fourth detachment even gave him a "barge gun", after which this barge gun of special significance also became Teng Xiyuan's most trusted partner and comrade-in-arms, accompanying him through the most difficult war years.

One day, when Teng Xiyuan and several comrades-in-arms went up the mountain to inspect, they found that an enemy detachment had infiltrated.
The difference in strength between the two sides was very large, the enemy army had as many as 200 people, and There were only three people on Teng Xiyuan's side. The other two looked at each other, but Teng Xiyuan already had a way in mind - taking advantage of the enemy's unfavorable situation in the open, Teng Xiyuan used grenades to intimidate the other side that the other side had been surrounded by large troops of the People's Liberation Army, and sent a false message to the enemy to disturb his morale and confidence.
Just when the enemy squad was terrified, the loud noise of the grenades attracted the attention of the surrounding Platon Army, and after some struggle, this enemy army was completely annihilated, and after this battle, when people fought on the battlefield, they found that the enemy troops of these two hundred people were actually the elite of the Nationalist Eleventh Division. This time, Teng Xiyuan was honored by Su Yu, who personally awarded him a medal and gave him a brand-new shell gun, which was captured from the battle. In 1955, after the victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, Teng Xiyuan was very fortunate to survive again, and this time, the enemy had really been completely eliminated. At this point, the veteran Teng Xiyuan chose to return to his hometown in Laiwu, Shandong.
After this, Teng Xiyuan never mentioned his identity and history to the people around him, and only told his story when chatting with his family or educating future generations. As a soldier, after retiring from the army, he has always left the two "shell guns" he obtained that year, and for him, these two "shell guns" are no longer weapons to kill the enemy, but symbolize the honor of a veteran.
After many years, when the police came to visit in 1996, Mr. Teng Xiyuan had already guessed their intentions, and then, without hurrying, he took out the special certificate of allowing him to wear a gun presented by the 6202 unit of the People's Liberation Army many years ago, and said that he refused to hand it in, not so much as a gun license, but rather the recognition and praise of the army for his outstanding performance over the years.
