In 1937, when the Japanese invaded China and witnessed the tragic situation of being bullied by various Chinese, the thirteen-year-old Teng Xiyuan joined the revolutionary team and passed on organizational information by going out to beg for food. At that time, he was malnourished, dark and thin, but he was just hiding his eyes and ears, and he escaped the search of the Japanese army. Once, while transferring information in the village and encountering a single Japanese ghost, Teng Xiyuan was not afraid, and with the help of his companions, successfully killed him with a dagger.
In 1940, the Japanese army embarked on a crazy "three lights" policy and wantonly slaughtered anti-Japanese revolutionaries. The Eighth Route Army gathered at Yangjiaheng and engaged in a deadly struggle with the Japanese army. Because the Japanese army occupied a favorable position, the Eighth Route Army could not attack fiercely, and the battle situation was glued.
At this time, Teng Xiyuan, who had not long joined the team, made a clever move, aimed at the Japanese standard-bearer, and killed him in one fell swoop. The flag bearer who commanded the battle fell, which plunged the Japanese army into a brief confusion, and the Eighth Route Army took advantage of the situation to attack the enemy.
At that time, the Eighth Route Army did not have many weapons, and after Teng Xiyuan used up the bullets in the magazine, he engaged in fierce hand-to-hand combat with the Japanese army. Although he was pierced by the enemy in the right arm, Teng Xiyuan still stubbornly killed many enemies. After the Battle of Yangjiaheng, the young Teng Xiyuan became famous in the First World War. After the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan in 1945, the domestic situation entered a brief period of stability. But the following year, the eager Kuomintang tore up the Double Tenth Agreement and launched a civil war. Although 21-year-old Teng Xiyuan is young, he has been in the battlefield for a long time. He accepted the reorganization of the troops and became an artillery company commander in the East China Field Military Region led by General Su Yu.
While routinely inspecting the fortifications, Teng Xiyuan suddenly found a well-equipped Kuomintang army in the lookout post, numbering as many as two hundred people, and was continuing to advance towards them. At this time, it was too late to run back to the camp to inform him, even if he wanted to fight the Kuomintang to the death, but there were only two people here, him and his comrades-in-arms. How can this be good? Teng Xiyuan thought that the troop station was not far from here, and once the enemy opened fire, the movement would certainly remind General Su Yu that there was an enemy attack.
So Teng Xiyuan let his comrades-in-arms attack the west from the east, and after he threw grenades at the enemy and shouted, the comrades-in-arms fired warning shots at the enemy in the other direction, creating an atmosphere in which the Kuomintang had been surrounded.
