Affected by this news, many car companies began to officially announce price increases, including Tesla, GAC Aegean, Nezha Automobile and SAIC Extraordinary Automobile.
Tesla moved the fastest, at the end of December, it raised the price of the rear-wheel drive version of the Model 3 and Model Y models, with an increase of 10,000 yuan and 21,000 yuan respectively, of which the Model Y can no longer enjoy the state subsidy policy according to the standard.

Since 2009, the central government has subsidized the promotion and application of new energy vehicles. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's new energy vehicles have increased from 5,209 in 2009 to 1.367 million in 2020. The cumulative amount of funds used for new energy subsidies has exceeded 140 billion. With the continuation of subsidies, in the first 11 months of 2021, the production and sales of domestic new energy vehicles reached 3.023 million and 2.99 million units respectively, an increase of 1.7 times year-on-year, and there is no suspense in breaking through 3 million units in the whole year.
