Yang Yuting, born in Sheshangou Village, Faku County, Liaoning Province, settled down, interestingly, Yang Yuting's father started by labor, so he opposed Yang Yuting's entrance to the church and said that reading was useless, but at the strong request of his mother, he reluctantly agreed to let him go to private school. When he was studying in the academy, his teacher Yang Yuting was very smart and learned everything faster than other students. Therefore, at the age of 16, Yang Yuting was admitted to xiucai. When he was admitted to the qing dynasty, he was later funded by his eldest brother to study at the Japanese Non-Commissioned Officer School.
After Yang Yuting returned to China after completing his studies, he entered the military circle and began his military career. Because Yang Yuting was born and was a graduate of the Japanese Non-Commissioned Officer School, he was soon appreciated by Zhang Zuolin. He was appointed Inspector of the Arsenal.
Under the leadership of Yang Yuting, the arsenal developed rapidly and became the largest arsenal in northeast China at that time, which also laid the foundation for Zhang Zuolin's future hegemony.
Not only that, Yang Yuting also assisted Zhang Zuolin in building an army, creating a northeast navy, formulating a land endowment system, enhancing the economic strength of the northeast, and building a war-ready highway. He was later transferred to the post of Chief of Staff of the Twenty-seventh Division. After Yang Yuting took office, according to the military knowledge he learned in Japan and the way of the Japanese army, he reorganized the Northeast Army, and it should be known that most of the older generation of the Northeast Army was born in Lin. After Yang Yuting's rectification, the combat effectiveness increased significantly, and after that, Yang Yuting became a red man around Zhang Zuolin, and had a think tank in the northeast, known as Xiao Zhuge Ge.
What really moved him to the core of the Feng army was in 1916, when Yang Yuting learned that his direct family had borrowed 40 million yuan from Japan to buy a large amount of arms to be transported to Qinhuangdao. Yang Yuting asked Zhang Zuolin to hijack this batch of arms, and at that time let Zhang Zuolin say yes? Yang Yuting said that there was no problem, and later with the help of Xu Shuzheng, Zhang Zuolin successfully robbed this batch of arms, allowing Zhang Zuolin to expand 7 mixed brigades. Yang Yuting became the core figure of Feng Jun.
It can be said that Yang Yuting is a good helper in governing the army, but he can't lead the soldiers to fight. In 1925, he stayed by Zhang Zuolin's side for many years and also wanted to be a feudal official, so Zhang Zuolin let him go to Jiangsu to take up a post. Yang Yuting, who has always been arrogant, simply despised the warlord Sun Chuanfang. It was this time that Yang Yuting was killed in distress.
Mainly because Chen Tiaoyuan and Guo Songling were behind the scenes, and Guo Songling also transferred the Second Infantry Brigade back to Jidong, while Yang Yuting had only one division in Jiangsu, at which time Sun Chuanfang sent troops to attack. Yang Yuting was beaten and fled, and he almost lost his life, and after arriving in the northeast, Zhang Zuolin did not blame him, saying that you should still stay by my side. From this, it can be seen how much Zhang Zuolin likes Yang Yuting.
At 5:30 a.m. on June 4, 1928, Zhang Zuolin, the king of the northeast, was assassinated at Huanggutun Station. Zhang Zuolin died, but no one spoiled Yang Yuting like that anymore. As the saying goes, after Zhang Xueliang ascended to the throne, he chose to return to Chiang Kai-shek in the northeast, and Yang Yuting resolutely opposed it, and repeatedly did not give Zhang Xueliang face in public, but directly called him the sixth son (Zhang Xueliang's nickname), coupled with the Japanese alienation of Zhang Yang relations, so that Zhang Xueliang decided to get rid of Yang Yuting.
On January 10, 1929, Zhang Xueliang asked Yang Yuting to discuss state affairs, and as soon as Yang Yuting entered the door, he was arrested by several guards and executed Yang Yuting on the spot in the "Tiger Hall", at the age of 44.
