Zhang Long, in 2008, began to contact public welfare, went to Wuwei, Dingxi, Gannan and other places to carry out material donations and teaching activities, and jointly held the "Happy Micro Dream" international public welfare summer camp with Beijing Jiaotong University, recruiting 24 volunteers from more than ten countries and regions such as Kuwait, Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Egypt and other countries and regions to carry out their 15-day teaching activities in Pingchuan Zhongheng School. During the 2010 Yushu earthquake, Zhang Long, as a volunteer at that time, participated in the distribution of Yushu earthquake materials and personnel rescue, and since that Yushu earthquake rescue, Zhang Long has developed a strong interest in public welfare rescue. In the past ten years, in addition to his usual work, all his time and energy have been invested in public welfare, in various parts of the country, as long as there are people in need of help, he will rush to the front line, he has a high sense of responsibility and a strong sense of professionalism to fight in the front line of rescue work, always dedicate his blood to public welfare, 16 years of public welfare, he has been a practitioner of volunteerism.
In 2015, Zhang Long joined the blue sky rescue team, and in 9 years, he has completed more than 100 rescues, participated in 1 international rescue, 3 national rescue operations, 8 cross-regional rescues in the province, 35 group activities to ensure support, more than 100 trainings inside and outside the team, participated in the salvage of 46 bodies of victims, rescued 53 survivors, and assisted in the investigation of 85 lost people, and participated in the rescue of debris flow disasters in Wenxian County, Longnan, flood disaster rescue in Dongxiang Township, Zhouqu debris flow rescue, Lintao water rescue, major traffic accidents on Lanhai Expressway, and flood rescue in Henan, Syria Earthquake International Rescue, Linxia Jishi Mountain Earthquake Rescue and other cross-regional large-scale rescue missions.
During the three-year period of new crown epidemic prevention and control, in order to protect the health and safety of the general public and prevent and control the risk of new coronavirus infection as much as possible, Zhang Long took the initiative to lead the team members to actively participate in the prevention and control of the epidemic, and carried out epidemic prevention and sanitize operations in various districts and counties of Baiyin City, with a total of 427 sanitize schools, 295 communities, and 621 sanitize key areas, with a total of 3,859 team members and a total sanitize area of 17,932,547 square meters. Cooperate with the China Charity Federation and Mengniu Group to donate more than 200,000 yuan of materials to hospitals and epidemic air defense points.
