After the establishment of the Shenyang Military Region in 1955, the first commander was General Deng Hua, who commanded the largest number of soldiers and horses among the founding generals, as the first commander of the military region. Under his leadership, battles such as the Battle of Shangganling and the Battle of Jincheng Counterattack were launched, which drew a perfect end to the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea. The third commander of the Shenyang Military Region was Li Desheng, who was also a famous general from the Second Field Army. Although his position during the Liberation War was low, it did not affect his later development. In the Battle of Shangganling, he commanded the Twelfth Army to repel the enemy's attack, ending the Battle of Shangganling perfectly. After returning to China, he was awarded the rank of major general, but served as commander of the Shenyang sub-district in 1973 until his resignation in 1985, and served for 12 years.
