In 1931, Zhang Taiheng was born in Zhangjiazhuang, Guangrao County, Shandong Province, and the year of his birth was also the year of the outbreak of the 918 Incident, and indeed this year was undoubtedly a great shame for the Chinese people, and the Japanese actually occupied such a large area as the three eastern provinces effortlessly, for which Chiang Kai-shek and others were naturally insulted by the Chinese.
Zhang Taiheng, who lived in that chaotic era, indeed witnessed a large number of tragedies since he was a child, and he was extremely puzzled as to why China had become like that. At home, Zhang Taiheng still had two younger sisters, but what made him feel extremely sad was that at that time, in order to live, the family could only sell his two sisters in pain, and then his father took him to ask for food, and those days in Zhang Taiheng's heart could never be forgotten.
In 1944, at the age of 13, Zhang Taiheng began to participate in the revolution, after which he successively served as a traffic officer of the Kenli County Brigade of the Eighth Route Army in Shandong Province, a signal officer of the Staff Office of the 1st Regiment of the 7th Division of the Bohai Naval Region, a signal officer of the Staff Office of the 82nd Regiment of the 10th Column and 28th Division of the East China Field Army, and a cadet of the Military Training Corps.
In the liberation war, Zhang Taiheng did make a lot of merits, but at the same time he was injured many times, in the battle to liberate Shanghai in 1949, Zhang Taiheng unfortunately encountered the enemy's dark gun, thanks to his cleverness, immediately pretended to die after being injured, and then took advantage of the enemy's lack of attention to immediately turn over and escape.
In addition, in the battle to liberate Pingtan Island, Zhang Taiheng's forehead was hit by enemy bullets, and his comrades at that time all thought that this must be a certain death, and just when they were about to prepare to bury him, Zhang Taiheng suddenly came back to life, which was indeed a big miracle.
In the famous Battle of Huaihai, Zhang Taiheng's right hip was shot, but unfortunately, because the bullet position was close to his sciatic nerve at that time, the doctor had no way to take it out, and this bullet was forever followed in Zhang Taiheng's body.
In 1955, Zhang Taiheng was honorably awarded the rank of captain, although the rank was very low, but in the days that followed, Zhang Taiheng was repeatedly promoted, from deputy chief of staff, chief of staff, deputy regimental commander and regimental commander of the 244 regiment of the 82nd Division, to the commander of the 248th Regiment of the 83rd Division of the 28th Army, the deputy chief of staff of the 82nd Division, the chief of staff, and later the deputy commander of the Chengdu Military Region, the deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, and the commander of the Jinan Military Region.
In addition, General Zhang Taiheng also participated in the battles of northern Fujian bandits, the defense of Dongshan Island, and the shelling of Kinmen, and participated in the battles of defending coastal defense and defending the frontiers of the motherland.
However, Zhang Taiheng also encountered some unfortunate things, that is, in 1991, zhang Taiheng was the commander of the Chengdu Military Region, and once a deputy commander of the Chengdu Military Region was on the way to inspect the troops, the plane he was riding on unfortunately crashed, resulting in the death of all the personnel on board, causing a major accident, because Zhang Taiheng was dismissed from his post.
In 2005, General Zhang Taiheng, the former commander of the Jinan Military Region, died at the age of 74.
