In 1955, in recognition of the merits of the founding generals, a ceremony was held to award titles. Of these, 57 were awarded the rank of general, all of whom were brave and courageous. And today I want to introduce General Xie Fuzhi, who was promoted to the rank of vice state, but in October 1980, he was no longer a party member, and he moved out of Babaoshan after his death for 6 years.
Xie Fuzhi, born in 1909, is a native of Huang'an County, Hubei Province. Because of poor family conditions, he worked as a worker, a carpenter, herded cattle, fed pigs, planted land, and read intermittently for several years. Knowledge changes fate, he often borrows some books to read, and has a wide range of knowledge.
Later, Xie Fuzhi joined the peasant association and carried out the agrarian revolution, but when he saw that a large number of comrades were killed, he was very frightened and returned to his hometown.
In 1930, he joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, joined the Party the following year, successively served as the leader of the Propaganda Team of the Red Fourth Front, the director of the Political Department of the 26th Division of the Red 9th Army, the director of the Organization Department of the General Political Department of the Red Fourth Front, the director of the Organization Department of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and other positions. ”
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he led his troops to fight many victorious battles, smashed the enemy's offensive plan, and after the victory of the War of Resistance, he formed a partnership with General Chen Geng and was the famous "Chen Xie Corps". General Qin Jiwei once said: "Both comrades Chen Xie joined the revolution earlier, had a high political level, and were also very good at combat command. Liu Deng's army was to give Old Jiang a circle in the chest, and Chen Xie's army was to kick another kick in the ribs. ”
After the founding of New China, Xie Fuzhi concurrently served as secretary of the CPC Chuandong District CPC Committee, political commissar of the Eastern Sichuan Military Region, first secretary of the Yunnan Provincial CPC Committee, minister of public security, and vice premier of the State Council.
However, in 1971, he participated in the activities of the special period, which shocked Liu Shaoqi and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation, and there were many wrong cases, and he changed from a tried and tested general to the main criminal.
In 1972, General Xie Fuzhi died of illness at the age of 63. After the memorial service, the ashes were buried in Babaoshan Cemetery. After a review in 1978, Xie Fuzhi lost his party membership in October 1980, his ashes were removed from Babaoshan, and his eulogy was withdrawn.
His wife, Liu Xiangping, joined the Red Army as a teenager, married Xie Fuzhi in Shanxi at the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and served as minister of health after the founding of New China.
The two had a son and a daughter after marriage, daughter Xie Xiaoqin married General Peng Xiaofeng, the son of Peng Xuefeng, one of the 36 military experts in the history of the Chinese revolution, and became a magazine editor after divorce; his son Xie Tieniu participated in the Vietnam War, and was later affected to take off his military uniform to start business, and in the real estate industry in Southeast Asia, he was mixed up, worth more than 100 million, and now he is a Singaporean national and has always acted low-key.
