The film vividly restores the glory days of the Hongxi Road Army's conquest of the Hexi Corridor 85 years ago, praises the heroism of the Hongxi Road Army in braving hardships and dangers and fighting in blood, and the fearless spirit of heroically sacrificing oneself for the party and the people, and shows the national integrity of the Yugur, Tibetan, and Han people in Hexi region who are kind, simple, and benevolent. As soon as the film was released, it was loved and sought after by the audience, especially An Meiying, the inheritor of the Yugur wedding of Kaiman, risked death to cover up and rescue the Red Army soldiers in the film, and the heroic feats of bravery and fearlessness, sacrificing life and death and singing the original ecological songs made the audience remember deeply. On February 28, at the premiere ceremony of sunan county film theater, An Meiying also sang a yugur original ecological folk song "Jujube Red Horse" by a distantly married girl who missed her parents at the invitation of the audience, showing the unique cultural charm of the Yugur people and the protection and inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage of Sunan County.
The only Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in Gansu and unique to Gansu is one of the 28 ethnic counties with small populations identified by the State Council, and the county is inhabited by 20 ethnic groups such as Yugu, Han, Tibetan, and Mongolian. Sunan County actively promotes the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, successively launches the legislation on the protection of ethnic culture and the declaration of the Yugur Cultural and Ecological Reserve, increases the construction of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance bases, and builds 2 national protection lists, 8 township non-genetic inheritance training points, 6 township (village) folk culture exhibition halls and Yugur Museum, Yugur Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Inheritance Center, Yugur Song and Dance Inheritance Center, Nomadic Cultural Center, Yugur Characteristic Villages and other ethnic cultural protection and inheritance bases. Eight folk culture exhibition halls were included in the list of "Historical Reproduction Projects and Museums" in Gansu Province. More than 50 intangible cultural heritage resources in 15 categories have been surveyed and rescued and registered, and the declaration and identification of intangible cultural heritage protection lists and representative inheritors has been strengthened, and 34 items of the county-level intangible cultural heritage protection list have been announced, of which 3 items of Yugur folk songs, costumes and marriage customs have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list, 12 items such as Yugur oral literature and language have been included in the provincial intangible cultural heritage protection list, and 22 items such as Yugur sacrifice Obo have been included in the municipal protection list. 129 representative inheritors at all levels were identified, including 4 national-level inheritors, 19 provincial-level inheritors, 25 municipal-level inheritors, and 81 county-level inheritors. Organized and compiled "Yugur Girl is Me", "Tianlai Yugu", "Yugur Dressage Dance", "Yugur Children's Heart to the Party" and other Yugur fine literary and artistic programs and Yugur song and dance, costumes, embroidery and other traditional culture have been exhibited at home and abroad on behalf of provinces, cities and counties for many times. Continuously improve the enthusiasm and initiative of the masses of all ethnic groups in participating in the protection and inheritance of traditional ethnic culture, and start broadcasting the "Window of nationalities" program in the Yugur language on the county radio and television station.
