The founding general Xie Fuzhi was one of the founding heroes of the country with great merit. But he has a puzzling history. As a founding general, Xie Fuzhi was expelled from the party eight years after his death, and even his ashes were removed from Babaoshan.
General Xie Fuzhi was born in hong'an, Hubei Province, the cradle of the "general". He grew up in a peasant family, and his poor life forced him to start farming at a very young age, and after doing his own home, he had to go to the rich family to herd cattle, just for that meager salary, and he had tasted the warmth and cold of the world when he was a child. However, for him, when he was a little older, someone in his family paid for the construction of a private school, and as long as it was the children of the Xie family, they could go to school, and Xie Fuzhi had the opportunity to go to the school. During his school days, Xie Fuzhi studied hard, learned a lot of Chinese characters, and understood a lot of truths. Xie Fuzhi, who has worked since childhood, knows that opportunities are not easy to come by, so he always goes to borrow books and periodicals after school to enrich himself. Slowly, he made some like-minded friends with his knowledge and enthusiasm.
With the passage of time, the revolution began. Xie Fuzhi joined the peasant movement that was very famous at that time with his friends. Although the uprising was defeated, Xie Fuzhi learned a lot of experience in the struggle, and later, Xie Fuzhi, who accepted the advanced ideas of the revolution, threw himself wholeheartedly into the revolutionary struggle.
In 1930, Xie Fuzhi joined the Red Army and was awarded the title of director of the Political Department of the Ninth Red Army at the age of 26 for his outstanding performance. In 1938, Xie Fuzhi was promoted to political commissar of the 385th Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, and cooperated with Chen Xi in the battle. In 1939, Chen Xilian and Xie Fuzhi took advantage of the favorable terrain to defeat the 13th Brigade of the Japanese Army's independent mixed brigade into the Fourth Brigade. Soon after, after the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Xie Fuzhi was transferred to the Jinji-Hebei Luyu Taiyue Column and became a partner with Chen Geng.
Although victory was won in the War of Resistance Against Japan, the situation at that time was not stable, and the Nationalist army attacked our army during negotiations between the two armies, and of course our army could not afford to show weakness and violently hit the enemy.
After the founding of New China, Xie Fuzhi was awarded the rank of general. Because of his later remarkable effects in governing Yunnan, he was appointed minister of public security, commander and political commissar of the public security forces, and later elected vice premier. In 1972, Xie Fuzhi died of illness. In honor of this founding hero, the state buried his ashes in Babaoshan Cemetery.
Although General Xie Fuzhi had distinguished himself in his life, he made mistakes on his way to becoming an official. He has caused many people to be wronged by one of his decisions. Eight years after the death of General Xie Fuzhi, the facts of that year were revealed, so in order to punish The mistakes of General Xie Fuzhi, the state decided to remove his ashes from the Babaoshan Cemetery and give him the punishment of expulsion from the party.
