Most of these 57 founding generals were generals of the rank of zhengbing army, who commanded thousands of troops and horses in the revolutionary years, and made great achievements for the victory of the war. In addition, their age at this time was not very large, the youngest Xiao Hua was only 39 years old, basically holding important positions in the military, for example, ten people were the commanders of the Grand Military Region.
Two admirals who took a detour
But unfortunately, two of the 57 founding generals took a detour in their later years, and in the end, their reputation was not guaranteed, which made people sigh. One of them was General Huang Yongsheng, who had followed Luo Ronghuan in his early years in the revolution, participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and the Sanwan Reorganization. During the war years, Huang Yongsheng fought many major victories, and his position was also rising, successively serving as the commander of the Red Army division, the brigade commander of the Eighth Route Army, and the commander of the Platon Army Corps. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the people did not forget his merits and gave Huang Yongsheng a high position and honor. However, after September 1971, he, Wu Faxian, Li Zuopeng, Qiu Huizuo and others were isolated and examined, and they were discredited.
In addition to the above-mentioned Huang Yongsheng, there is also a founding general who has also experienced great ups and downs, and he is the Xie Fuzhi we are going to talk about today. Unlike Huang Yongsheng, Xie Fuzhi was a general who came out of the Red Fourth Front, mainly engaged in political work during the revolutionary years, and he once fought side by side with General Chen Geng and commanded Chen Xie's army to be invincible. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xie Fuzhi became the commander of the Grand Military Region and was awarded the rank of general at the same time, which was extremely prominent for a time. However, in 1980, eight years after his death, due to the creation of a large number of unjust, false and wrongly decided cases in his later years, Xie Fuzhi was organizationally expelled from the party and his ashes were also moved out of Babaoshan. Liu Xiangping, born in 1920, is a native of Xie County, Shanxi. She studied hard from an early age and pursued progressive ideas, joined the revolution at the age of 16, studied in the Taiyuan Military and Political Training Corps in Shanxi, and transferred to the Anti-Japanese War University for further study the following year. During his study and life at Kang Da, Liu Xiangping met a large number of like-minded friends and also met his beloved Xie Fuzhi. At that time, Xie Fuzhi was a great hero on the battlefield, a senior general of our army; Liu Xiangping was a progressive young woman with elegant demeanor and high level. They quickly came together and married, and Liu Xiangping was only 17 years old at this time.
In that year of artillery fire, Liu Xiangping and his wife did not have much sweet married life, her husband soon went to the front line to fight, Liu Xiangping also began his own revolutionary work, the two went hand in hand, spent more than ten years of ups and downs together. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Liu Xiangping's husband's career was smooth, and he successively served as commander and political commissar of the Kunming Military Region, minister of public security, and vice premier, like a rising star in the political arena. Liu Xiangping is not bad, she also experienced the old revolution of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation, and served as the director of the Planning Department of the Ministry of Agricultural Machinery and the director of the Comprehensive Bureau of the 8th Machine Ministry. Not only that, in his later years, Liu Xiangping was the minister of health, and among women, his achievements were not high.
Descendants of the general
In 1972, Xie Fuzhi died at the age of 63. Four years later, Liu Xiangping also took a detour and did a lot of bad things, and was eventually dismissed from his post and later expelled from the party. In her later years, Liu Xiangping settled in Beijing, and after experiencing great ups and downs, she looked at everything very plainly and lived a peaceful and ordinary citizen life. It is worth mentioning that her children are all very successful.
Liu Xiangping and her husband Xie Fuzhi have a son and a daughter, and the daughter is named Xie Xiaoqin, an excellent editor, who married Peng Xiaofeng when she grew up. Peng Xiaofeng is no stranger to everyone, his father is the famous Peng Xuefeng, he himself is also very powerful, served as the political commissar of the Second Artillery, is the rank of general. Unfortunately, the couple did not come to the end. The only son, named Xie Tieniu, accepted his father's arrangement in his early years, served as a soldier on the China-Myanmar border, demobilized and went to the sea to do business, and is now a rich man with a successful career.
