We read all the lead to present a different history.

For example, the great leader Chairman Mao insisted on taking a cold bath when he was young, and Deng Xiaoping also liked to take a cold bath, and their bodies were very good. Among the ten founding generals, there is also one who insists on taking a cold bath.

He was Chen Geng. In everyone's impression, Chen Geng is humorous and mischievous, and his body has always been good. However, in 1961, General Chen Geng passed away. He was the first founding general to die at the age of 58.

Why did Chen Geng become the first founding general to die? Among the founding generals, Chen Geng's front was relatively long. At the beginning of the Liberation War, his Chen Xie Corps became a representative unit of the strategic counteroffensive, and then galloped across the Central Plains, liberating Luoyang, Zhengzhou and other places.

Until the founding of New China, Chen Geng still did not stop, waving his division around Yunnan, and after the liberation of Yunnan, he dismounted his general and came to Vietnam to help the Vietnamese people and win the border battle. This is already 1950.

However, Chen Geng, who had just returned to Beijing, was appointed commander and political commissar of the Third Corps of the Volunteer Army, deputy commander of the Volunteer Army, and other positions. Among the ten founding generals, only Chen Geng participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.

From the sweltering heat of Southeast Asia to the cold of the Korean Peninsula, this front span is not something that ordinary people can adapt to. In 1952, Chen Geng left the Korean battlefield and soon returned to China, and was appointed dean of the Military Engineering College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

To organize a military academy, everything starts from scratch. Chen Geng was very busy during that period. By 1954, after Chen Geng entered Beijing, his part-time job was more numerous. Deputy chief of the general staff, deputy director of the Science and Technology Commission for National Defense, vice minister of national defense, and so on, at the same time, Chen Geng also held the post of president.

We know that during the Red Army period, Chen Geng's legs were injured, the war was tense, and there was no complete healing. It was not easy to find new China, but Chen Geng was busier than in the war years, and there was no chance to breathe. After breakfast on December 19, 1957, Chen Geng suddenly fainted from a myocardial infarction, and he did not wake up until more than 11 o'clock at night.

This sudden illness frightened many people. However, Chen Geng did not take it too seriously. After three months in the hospital, Chen Geng was discharged from the hospital and immediately threw himself into intense work. Everyone advised him to listen to the doctor and rest well.

Chen Geng smiled and said that with regard to disease, we must not be afraid of the disease as we are to the enemy, and we must resolutely defeat it and eliminate it. In 1959, Chen Geng's myocardial infarction recurred, and he still did not take it seriously and still insisted on working. He also always said that the death of so many people during the revolutionary war years was nothing.

Finally, the area of myocardial infarction increased. Chest pain, chest tightness, worsening, on March 16, 1961, the general Chen Geng died of illness in Shanghai. It's a pity, Chen Geng is only 58 years old, he was originally promising. Unfortunately, he died young.

Whoops. He was tired alive, he was a servant of the people.
