In addition to ruling the country and security, Liu Xiu is also very obsessed with his wife Yin Lihua. Yin Lihua was a famous Qi XiangGuan Zhong in the Spring and Autumn Period, although in the Qin and Western Han Dynasties, the Yin family never produced any big figures, but with the wealth accumulated over generations, the Yin family in wang mang's period was still a wealthy family in Nanyang. Previously, Liu Xiu was so focused on farming that his brother Liu Xiu often teased him, saying that he had no ambition. After visiting the Yin family several times, Liu Xiu decided to go to Chang'an to study in order to change his fate.
Once, on the streets of Chang'an, Liu Xiu happened to meet Zhi Jinwu on a trip, hugging before and after, and riding a lot. In addition to envy, Liu Xiu issued the most classic exclamation: "Shi Eunuch is regarded as a Jinwu, and his wife is Yin Lihua." Soon after Wang Mang's reform failed, the rebel armies such as Lulin and Chimei surged up, and Liu Xiu and his brother Liu Xiu also raised troops in Nanyang and established the "Lingling Army". Later, due to Liu Jigong's high zhen lord, he was killed by the former emperor Liu Xuan. Liu Xiu was shocked to hear this news, and instead of recklessly avenging his brother, he rushed to Wancheng to ask Liu Xuan for his guilt.
When Liu Xuan saw that Liu Xiu was so obedient, he did not pursue him, but only removed his military power and gave him an idle post. Soon after, the 29-year-old Liu Xiu returned to Nanyang and married Yin Lihua, who was 10 years younger. Three months after their new marriage, Liu Xiu was sent to Hebei by Liu Xuan, and since then there has been no news. Yin Lihua was very worried about her husband's safety, and sent people to Hebei many times to inquire about the news, but they were all blocked by the war, and Yin Lihua was once mentally prepared for her husband's death on the battlefield. In the first year of Jianwu, Liu Xiu entered Luoyang and sent someone to Nanyang to receive Yin Lihua into the palace. The emissary only said that he had done the emperor's will, but Yin Lihua did not know who the emperor was, and although she was nervous, she did not dare not go. It wasn't until she entered the palace that she discovered that this emperor was actually her own husband! Liu Xiu saw Yin Lihua's surprised look, smiled at her slightly, and said, "I haven't seen her for a long time, Madame has worked hard." Five years later, Guo Shengtong was deposed and Yin Lihua became the second empress of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
