Anyone who is slightly familiar with the history of the party should know about "the southern Chen and the northern Li and the appointment to build the party."

This "Southern Chen" refers to Chen Duxiu in Shanghai, and "Northern Li" refers to Li Dazhao in Beijing.

There is no doubt that Li Dazhao is one of the main founders of the Chinese Communist Party.

Before the founding of the Party, he was already a great Marxist and a pioneer of the Chinese communist movement.

Lao Qin wrote last month, "Fu Sinian slapped Chairman Mao in his early years, and the chairman later copied a poem to him?" Answer: I want to be crooked" article, the article mentions: In 1918, Chairman Mao served as an assistant in the Peking University Library, and it was Li Dazhao who was the director of the Peking University Library at that time. During this period, Li Dazhao gave Chairman Mao meticulous care in his work, life, and study.

By the way, Li Dazhao became famous as a teenager and grew a beard very early. Now when we look at Li Dazhao's photos, it is easy to have an illusion that he is a middle-aged and elderly person. Many directors and screenwriters of film and television works also like to select elderly actors to play Li Dazhao when selecting actors.

Lao Qin watched a TELEVISION series called "Fenghua Zhengmao", which detailed Chairman Mao's life with Li Dazhao at Peking University in 1918. The two actors who play Li Dazhao and Chairman Mao in the play have a huge age difference, and they are clearly two generations.

In fact, Li Dazhao was born in 1889, only four years older than Chairman Mao, and the two were almost the same age.

Li Dazhao spent only half a year with Chairman Mao at Peking University, but his influence on Chairman Mao was enormous.

In 1936, Chairman Mao mentioned in a conversation with Snow that his ideas were rapidly developing in the direction of Marxism, mainly due to the influence of Mr. Li Dazhao.

He said gratefully, "Li Dazhao is my real teacher. ”

In March 1949, Chairman Mao and the Party Central Committee entered Beiping from Xibaipo, and when he looked at the ancient capital city wall from afar, his eyes were moist, and he once again mentioned "Li Dazhao is my real teacher" and said with great affection: "Without his guidance and teaching, I don't know where I am today!" ”

The Communist Party of China, founded by Li Dazhao himself, led Chinese to establish a new China, but a series of murderers of Li Dazhao are still at large.

This became a knot in the hearts of the leaders of the new China.

The arrest of Li Dazhao's murderer also became a major case in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In October 1950, the Party Central Committee made the murder of Li Dazhao the number one key case of the town's anti-purge, and designated Peng Zhen, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, and Luo Ruiqing, minister of public security, to investigate and handle it.

Luo Ruiqing then made a report at the meeting of cadres of various organs directly under the CPC Central Committee, all organs of the central state, and the platters stationed in Beijing, stressing the matter of arresting and killing Li Dazhao's murderers, and urging all organs to actively mobilize and rely on the masses to bring the murderers to justice and avenge the revolutionary martyrs.

Six months later, on June 10, 1951, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau received a whistle-blowing letter pointing out that the great monk "Ming Zen Master", who had placed orders at the temple in the northwest corner of Beijing a few years earlier, was Lei Hengcheng, the murderer who led the military and police to search the Soviet Embassy and caused Li Dazhao and dozens of martyrs to be hanged.

The Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau received this clue and quickly reported it to Peng Zhen, Luo Ruiqing, and Feng Jiping, vice mayor of Beijing Municipality and director of the Public Security Bureau.

After Peng Zhen and Luo Ruiqing read the letter, they gave instructions overnight: "Quickly check the true identity and whereabouts of the 'Ming Zen Master'!" ”

Feng Jiping then set up a task force.

The members of the special case team visited the temple in the northwest corner of Beijing and learned that the "Ming Zen Master" had come to the monastery in August 1945 to hang up orders.

The monk in the monastery said that when the "Zen Master Ming" first came, he claimed to be a monk who had come from afar to learn the sutra and seek the Dharma, but he was fluent in "Kyo Tablets". He practiced in the monastery for more than 4 years, and soon after the peaceful liberation of Peiping in 1949, he did not quit and did not know where to go.

However, the monks in the monastery provided two important characteristics about the "Enlightened Zen Master": first, his thin face, a goatee, and the teeth in his mouth were black and yellow; second, his neck did not hang a Buddha bead but a golden pendant, and the back of the dial was engraved with a royal image of the emperor of the late Qing Dynasty.

Based on these two points, the task force quickly confirmed that the "Ming Zen Master" was Lei Hengcheng.

The reason is that Lei Hengcheng was a distant cousin of the emperor at the end of the Qing Dynasty, who studied in Japan in his early years to learn police skills, and after returning to China in 1909, he was given the police rank by the Qing government to serve in the Police Department of the Beijing Division, often hanging a hanging watch engraved with the imperial portrait of the emperor at the end of the Qing Dynasty.

In addition, Lei Hengcheng has a long history of opium smoking, addiction, and black and yellow teeth.

Moreover, after the fall of the Qing government, Lei Hengcheng first served Yuan Shikai, and later served Duan Qirui and Zhang Zuolin, and after the "918" incident, he openly betrayed the country and surrendered to the enemy, committed himself to the Japanese, and served the Japanese.

He appeared in the monastery as a monk in August 1945 because the Japanese had announced their unconditional surrender at this time.

So, after the peaceful liberation of Peiping, where did this Lei Hengcheng go?

The task force was determined to get it out.

After a period of overt investigation and covert visits, someone provided a new clue: After liberation, Lei Hengcheng went to the area of Ma Lisi Road (now Chongqing North Road) near the Shanghai Racecourse Hall to make a living as a fortune teller.

Therefore, the special case team conveyed the situation to the Xincheng Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau (Jing'an Branch).

Ma Yisan, director of the Xincheng Branch Bureau, entrusted the task of solving the case to Wang Tianjie, the head of the sixth unit.

Wang Fujie carefully selected the investigators Lu Quanfa, Xia Xianjun, and Pan Cheng, and formed a reconnaissance team of the three of them to investigate the area around Ma Lisi Road (present-day Chongqing North Road) near the Shanghai Racecourse Hall.

Lu Quanfa, Xia Xianjun, and Pan Cheng conducted a rigorous search in secret, and soon found a "fortune teller" in Ma Lisi New Village (present-day North Chongqing Road) whose characteristics matched the "Lei Hengcheng" described by the Beijing task force.

However, the name of this "fortune teller" registered at the police station is not "Lei Hengcheng", but "Zhao Zhi'an".

Is "Zhao Zhi'an" the murderer of Li Dazhao" Lei Hengcheng?

Lu Quanfa pretended to be a looking civilian and went to find "Zhao Zhi'an" to strike sideways.

After some contact, Lu Quanfa found that "Zhao Zhi'an" had a thin face, a goatee, a mouth full of large yellow teeth, and a hanging watch with a royal portrait of the emperor at the end of the Qing Dynasty... All of this shows that "Zhao Zhi'an" is "Lei Hengcheng".

Lu Quan withdrew silently.

Then he led the investigators to kill a hui carbine, arrested "Zhao Zhi'an", and found his identity certificate and multiple job certificates in "Zhao Zhi'an's" home. These include his diploma at the Japanese Gendarmerie Police Station, his license as a graduate of the Army Police Division, and his letter of appointment.

"Zhao Zhi'an" is indeed "Lei Hengcheng"!

In the subsequent interrogation, Lei Hengcheng painfully admitted the fact that he killed Li Dazhao.

The Ministry of Public Security of East China recommended in its handling opinions that the death penalty be imposed.

Xu Jianguo, minister of public security in East China and director of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, personally issued a directive on December 17, 1952: "Agree to the death penalty and immediately execute it." ”

On April 26, 1953, Lei Hengcheng was publicly executed, and his sinful life finally came to an end.
