A few days ago, Tesla officially announced the recall of 475,000 Model 3 and Model S electric vehicles, which is a very frightening number, almost close to the annual delivery volume in 2020.
This afternoon, the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation also announced Tesla's relevant recall policy in China, involving a total of nearly 200,000 imported and domestically produced cars.
It is reported that the reason for the recall is the same as the previous overseas function announcement, including two problems, one of which is that the vehicle may have a slightly backward position of the alignment of the front load compartment lock latch and the lock buckle, resulting in the front load compartment may not be locked, and the front trunk cover may suddenly open during the vehicle driving, affecting the driver's line of sight, increasing the risk of collision accidents, and there are safety hazards.
In addition, there are some vehicles whose trunk covers have been repeatedly opened and closed for a long time, which may cause excessive wear of the trunk wiring harness. If this wear causes the core separation of the coaxial cable, it may cause the reversing image to not work properly, thus affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing, and in extreme cases, it will increase the risk of collision when reversing, and there is a safety hazard.
Tesla China said it would inspect and repair the recalled vehicles for free to eliminate safety hazards.
It should be noted that Tesla China emphasizes that users should drive the vehicle cautiously before the vehicle recall repair, and contact the Tesla service center for maintenance as soon as possible after the recall begins to be implemented.
