In July 1937, Japan launched the Lugou Bridge Incident, and the war had already broken out in full swing. Peiping and Tianjin fell successively, and on August 13, the Japanese troops at the Shanghai Railway Station were first bombed, and then the Japanese army dispatched troops and began to attack Shanghai. The Battle of Songhu began, and on November 12, due to heavy casualties, it had to retreat, and Shanghai fell. At that time, although the three tycoons in Shanghai were in the ascendant, they could not defeat the Japanese army with a large number of troops, and Zhang Xiaolin chose to be a traitor.
After the fall, Du Yuesheng refused to be co-opted by the Japanese and moved to Hong Kong, while also supporting the War of Resistance in his own way. However, he did not stay in Hong Kong for long, and when the Pacific War broke out in December 1941, Hong Kong could not find peace. Du Yuesheng had no choice but to move to Chongqing and develop his forces to the rear area, and naturally came into contact with Dai Kasa in Chongqing. In fact, the two have long known each other, when Dai Kasa did not enter Huangpu, he had a depressed life in Shanghai.
And Du Yuesheng was already a big boss at that time, after the two met by chance, Du Yuesheng thought that Dai Kasa would definitely be able to achieve great things in the future. So he approached Dai Kasa consciously or unconsciously, and in 1927 Dai Kasa lived in Shanghai with the old Jiang Xiaye. Du Yuesheng took this opportunity to get closer to Dai Kasa again, because he understood that Shimono was only temporary. Sure enough, it wasn't long before Old Jiang made a comeback, and Dai Kasa, as his truster, began to gather intelligence for him.
In 1932, Dai Kasa began to develop secret service agencies and established a dense network in Shanghai, which was not unrelated to Du Yuesheng's cooperation. By the time of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Dai Kasa's status was completely different from when he first met, and he was a big red man at this time. Although he was nominally the deputy director of the military command, he was the actual controller and deeply trusted by lao Chiang. This status, even if Du Yuesheng was not familiar with him, had to be embarrassed when he saw it. The two had such a relationship before, which came to Chongqing, naturally they were often together.
By chance, the two ran into a fortune teller after dinner, and Dai Kasa was more superstitious. Originally, his name was not Dai Kasa, and the name Dai Kasa was taken when he applied for the Whampoa Military Academy and re-examined the exam. It is said that a fortune teller told him at that time that he was six yin and sunny, killing weightlessly, and lacking water in five elements, and it was best to have water in his name. Kasa happens to be a kind of rain gear, which is naturally related to water, so it was renamed Dai Kasa.
When he saw the fortune teller on the street saying that he had calculated accurately, he became interested and wanted to do the calculation. I didn't expect that the person got Dai Kasa's birthday eight characters, but he started to haha again, saying that he couldn't calculate it. Dai Kasa was not angry, turned his head and left, and Du Yuesheng followed him at that time. But after a while, Du Yuesheng himself turned around and came back, and it turned out that he saw that the fortune teller had something to hide, so he came back to ask about it.
In fact, the fortune teller saw that Dai Kasa and Du Yuesheng were dressed in extraordinary clothes, and they must be a big person, and the result he saw was a big murderer. This did not dare to say, under Du Yuesheng's several inquiries, he had to say the result. Dai Kasa's eight characters are full of fire, although the name is water, but in the future his ending is still inseparable from fire. Du Yuesheng was also shocked to hear this result, how Could Dai Kasa still die in the fire, but the matter of life and death was not certain.
He knew that Dai Kasa had always been a bit superstitious, and naturally he didn't dare to tell him, so he kept silent about it. Unexpectedly, the words of the fortune teller later became a slur. On March 17, 1946, Dai Kasa flew to Nanjing by plane, but due to bad weather, he had to fly to Shanghai. As a result, the weather in Shanghai was not good, so I had to fly to Xuzhou instead, and I was killed in a crash at Daishan in the western suburbs of Nanjing. After the plane crashed, a fire broke out, and Dai Kasa's body was burned into coke, which was unbearable to see.
Later, Du Yuesheng told his son Du Weishan about this matter, and Du Weishan recorded it in his memoirs, and the world learned about it. I have to say that Dai Kasa's method of death is really lamentable, and what is more coincidental is that the mountain where he died is also called Dai Mountain and Sleepy Rain Ditch.
