After the death of his father, Du Yuesheng, his mother took him to Taiwan to attend secondary school and then to Australia to study geology. Before Du Yuesheng died, he burned all the IOUs given to him by others, and did not want his descendants to collect debts from others after his death.

Du Weishan often went out to work to earn money during his study abroad, and returned to China after graduation to do geological work at an oil company. Later, he fell in love with ancient coins that were not very related to his profession, and studied and collected ancient coins.

Du Weishan's greatest contribution is his study of ancient coins. During his breaks, he dabbles in some ancient Chinese books, which is also something he likes very much. Before his death, Du Yuesheng called several of his wives and sons to the bed and distributed the property to them, the wife was 10,000 yuan each, the son was 10,000, the daughter who was not married was 6,000, and the daughter who was married was 4,000. After returning to Hong Kong, Du Yuesheng thought that he could rely on his reputation in Shanghai Beach to rebuild his position and influence in Hong Kong. However, he was wrong, he was squeezed into the corner by the forces of Hong Kong, he spent a lot of money, bought a "big mansion" in Hong Kong, said to be a big mansion, but it was actually just a small three-story building.
