During World War II, China became a semi-colonial country and Vietnam became a colonial country. And our country and Vietnam are in neighborly relations, and no matter which country falls, it will have a bad impact on another country. After the end of World War II, our country regained its status as a great power, but Vietnam remained under the colony of France. In this case, the Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh asked our country to send troops to help him drive him out of France. Without saying a word, our leader directly agreed and sent many troops and materials to Vietnam. It was this war that made Vietnam stronger and stronger.
Later, there was the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Vietnam, and China sent a large amount of materials and manpower to help Vietnam attack the United States and establish a state. After the defeat of the United States, Vietnam's ambitions grew, because it was backed by the Soviet Union. At that time, in Vietnam itself, many weapons were left behind. There are those left behind by the Soviet Union that support Vietnam, those left behind by the United States attacking Vietnam, and those left behind by our country helping them to attack the United States. These weapons have made Vietnam more and more vocal and claims to be the world's third military power. At this time, China's development was only ten years. Vietnam, instigated by the Soviet Union, began to breed incidents on our borders. This makes it difficult for the people on our borders to live. Later, many overseas Chinese in Vietnam were even expelled and their property confiscated. So in December 1978, our leader Deng Xiaoping decided to launch a self-defense counterattack against Vietnam.
The international situation at that time was very complicated, and the United States had been retreating after being defeated by Vietnam, but the Soviet Union had always put political pressure on the United States. However, the relations between Our country and the Soviet Union deteriorated seriously, so the United States resumed diplomatic relations with China and the leader visited China twice in two years. Vietnam saw that our country and the United States had resumed diplomatic relations, and began to develop a hostile attitude toward our country, and with the Encouragement of the Soviet Union in the back, Vietnam became more and more rampant. As a last resort, my country issued a declaration that it would attack Vietnam. After this statement was issued, countries in the international community have spoken one after another and expressed different attitudes.
Among them are those who condemn China, support Vietnam, and hope that our country will withdraw its troops from Vietnam. Countries with such attitudes include the Soviet Union, Hungary, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, East Germany, Poland, Mozambique, Agra, etc. We can see that except for the Soviet Union, all other countries are small countries, all satellite states of the Soviet Union. To put it bluntly, it is the little brother of the Soviet Union. There is also a category of attitudes that do not support China, nor support Vietnam, such countries are the United States, Japan, Australia, France, Britain, Germany and other capital countries. Although such countries are neutral, in fact their attitude is unfavorable to our country, because our country is in a passive state, and if it does not launch a counterattack, Vietnam will continue to cause trouble. Among them, the Soviet Union was the most hateful, and the Soviet Union, which was originally an Allied country, was defeated in Japan and actually treated our country in this way.
The last attitude is that there are only two countries that support our country, and the country that supports our country in attacking Vietnam, one is North Korea, and the other is the Cambodian anti-Vietnamese people. The DPRK was because at that time our country resisted us aggression and aided Korea and helped its country. And Cambodia is because Vietnam was already attacking Cambodia at that time, and the Cambodian people were eager for China to give up resisting Vietnam.
