The Qing Dynasty came to dominate the Central Plains and ruled the Central Plains, while the Mongols controlled the territorial rights in the steppe areas. According to historical records, the Manchu Qing and the Mongols were good neighbors and friendly relations, the Qing Dynasty was able to enter the Central Plains, and the Mongolian Eight Banners also made a great contribution, but in fact, it was not. In fact, the Qing Dynasty has always been wary of the Mongols, because the Mongols are powerful, and if you look at the ancestor of the Mongols, Genghis Khan, you know that the Mongols actually contain an indomitable soul in their bloodline, and the Mongols are physically strong and have strong military strength, and even the battle with the Qing Dynasty will not be inferior.

It is precisely because the Mongols were the fierce enemies of the Qing Dynasty, and the territory of Mongolia bordered the Qing Dynasty, if the Mongols rebelled, the Qing Dynasty would be in a very dangerous situation. Therefore, in order to prevent the increase of Mongol power and restrict the development of Mongolia, the Qing Dynasty promulgated a series of policy measures.
1. Restrict trade and exchanges between the Central Plains and Mongolia. The Mongols entered the Central Plains only from a few passes, such as Xifengkou and Shanhaiguan, and also needed to register. It is to prevent the Mongols from entering the Central Plains and prevent the Han People from interacting with the Mongols. But the Manchus forgot that the contribution of the Mongols to the establishment of the Qing Dynasty was immeasurable. This practice of the Qing Dynasty aroused the resentment of the Mongols, but in fact it shook the foundation of its rule.
Second: Mongolia is forbidden to learn Han Chinese etiquette and culture. The culture of the Han people has a long history and rich meanings, and the philosophy of life described in it is of great significance to the growth and development of people. The Manchu Qing also did not allow the Mongols to use the Chinese language, only Manchu and Mongolian, and could not use Han names and could not enter into marriage with Han Chinese.
Because of the Manchu Qing restrictions on Mongolia, all localities were developing at that time, but the Mongolian region has always been in a backward state, surviving as a nomadic herder, without any change. The family planning policy has been documented since the Qing Dynasty, and the Manchu Qing implemented a family planning policy to limit the population of Mongolia, assuming that a Mongolian family had five sons and two or three sons must be ordained. To this end, the Qing Dynasty also built lama temples in Mongolia to promote Buddhist culture and "take compassion as compassion", so as to paralyze the Mongolian masses and help the governance of the Qing Dynasty. Monks cannot marry, let alone have children, which means that some people have no offspring, so the number of Mongolians is limited.
The Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan was once so strong, but this splendor is no longer there. In the process of being ruled by the Qing government, the bloodiness of the Mongols was wiped out, and the population was shrinking. The Mongol Empire, which once immediately laid down half the world, has passed away with history and turned into the smoke and dust of history.
