The German state of Hesse announced in April 2021 that it would replace Microsoft Teams in schools with a European solution that more complies with European privacy standards, with a deadline of July 31, 2021.

The latest announcement shows that the tender process has once again stopped because the specifications for the features required for the solution are not clear enough.
