The Shanghai factory contributed a lot
Before this year, Tesla had 4 gigafactories around the world, 3 in the United States and 1 in China.
According to the data, in 2021, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered a total of 484,130 vehicles, an increase of 235% year-on-year, of which more than 160,000 vehicles were delivered in overseas markets to meet the needs of more than ten countries such as Europe and Asia.
Of Tesla's global deliveries of 936,000 vehicles in 2021, the Shanghai Gigafactory accounted for 51.7%, accounting for half of its global territory.

Factory location conditions are harsh
The news of Tesla's construction of a second factory in China has long been boiling, and more than a dozen cities in our country are gearing up to get this quota.

2. Loan concessions should be at least tens of billions of yuan

Internally, coupled with China's logistics speed, it is not a problem to send cars to China's Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
