Someone is still stealing the concept! Remember: China made Tesla

Without China, there may not be Tesla today!

Without Tesla, there would be no New Energy Vehicles in China today?

Some people are still stealing the concept, and what we exchange for the market is not Tesla's technical level, but accelerates your acceptance of the concept of new energy.

In what context did Tesla enter China?

Before Tesla settled in the Shanghai Gigafactory in 2018, it faced a serious bankruptcy crisis, one was the lack of Model 3 production capacity; the other was the shortage of funds, and it was also saddled with liabilities of up to $1 billion; third, the capital market gradually lost confidence in Tesla, and the stock price repeatedly reached new lows.

Before this, Musk had long coveted the Chinese market, and one of the main reasons for the delay in building factories in China was that in the early days of the mainland, out of the protection of the domestic automobile market, foreign car companies were required to establish joint ventures with Chinese car brands when entering China, and the shareholding ratio of foreign capital was not allowed to exceed 50%. Until 2018, the mainland lifted the proportion of foreign ownership of new energy vehicles, after all, "it is difficult to raise eagles in greenhouses", that is to say, in this year, foreign new energy vehicle companies can operate solely after entering China.

This year is also the best opportunity for Tesla to build a factory in China.

Why choose to build a gigafactory in Shanghai?

Shanghai Lingang area, as one of the six major automobile industry clusters in the mainland, brings together all kinds of high-end talents that Tesla needs, from research and development, manufacturing, sales to after-sales, and even labor does not need Tesla to worry. Data shows that Tesla, produced by the Shanghai Gigafactory, costs 65% less per vehicle than in the United States.

There is also a VAM agreement signed by Tesla and Shanghai.

Shanghai's Lingang area has set up very generous conditions for Tesla, the land price of the gigafactory is only 1/10 of the market price, the commercial loan is 18.5 billion, and the interest rate is only 3.9%, which looks like an empty glove white wolf for capitalists.

But in fact, there are still some conditions. From the end of 2023, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory must pay 2.23 billion yuan in taxes per year. If this task is not completed, not only will the land to build the factory be recovered, but Tesla will continue to inject 14.08 billion yuan of capital in the next 5 years.

It is also the Super Factory in Shanghai that has dragged Tesla back from the edge of the bankrupt cliff, and it is China's huge automobile market that supports all this.

So without China, maybe there would be no Tesla today!

Conversely, what is Tesla's greatest contribution to China?

Is it just that little tax? That's only one aspect. Tesla's biggest contribution is to make Chinese consumers gradually accept and recognize that new energy vehicles are feasible and alternative to fuel vehicles. Let's think back to whether we were all questioning the endurance and charging of new energy vehicles before this. From the perspective of the promotion of new energy vehicles, Tesla has undoubtedly played a very positive role, whether it is for Chinese consumers or global consumers, Tesla at least let everyone accept the concept of new energy to a certain extent.

The second is to revitalize the entire supply chain of China's automobile industry, from battery packs, to battery management systems, and then to the chassis, central control, charging, interior, body, etc. These are basically domestic suppliers. Shanghai Gigafactory took only 10 months from construction to delivery, looking at the world, it will not be so efficient, which is supported by our efficient infrastructure construction capabilities and perfect new energy vehicle industry chain.

Tesla is out of danger, but... The commissioning of Tesla's Berlin factory in Germany is a bit of a "tiger breeding" flavor.

On March 22, 2022, Tess Germany's Berlin plant was officially put into operation, which is also Tesla's fourth gigafactory deployed around the world, with plans to generate 500,000 vehicles per year.

Why is it said that there is a bit of a "tiger breeding" taste?

In 2021, the total export volume of new energy vehicles in the mainland will be 310,000, and what we see behind this data is that the European market is becoming the main battlefield for our exports. But another concern behind the data is that 163,000 of these 310,000 are Tesla vehicles, which already accounts for half of our new energy vehicle exports.

With the increasing production capacity of Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory in Germany, the share of mainland new energy vehicles exported to the European market is bound to be sniped by Tesla, and the Shanghai factory will also be mainly sold domestically.

What we urgently need to solve is to push the local brand of China's new energy vehicles to the world as soon as possible, in the field of new energy, we are not bad, and even in some aspects, the local brand BYD has surpassed Tesla.

I believe that one day China's local car brands will definitely gain a firm foothold in Europe and enter the world automotive stage.
