Among domestic mobile phone manufacturers, Huawei has the heaviest R& D investment, and in 2020 alone, Huawei's R&D investment reached 141.8 billion yuan, surpassing Apple in scale.
In contrast, the investment scale of other domestic head manufacturers is generally small. In the underlying self-research technology is in the early stages. Xiaomi's research and development expenditure in 2020 is only about 10 billion yuan, and Vivo is also in the scale of tens of billions of yuan. OPPO announced in 2019 that it would invest 50 billion yuan in research and development in 3 years.
