From 0 to 24:00 on December 27, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 209 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were 27 imported cases (8 cases in Shanghai, 6 cases in Guangxi, 2 cases in Fujian, 2 cases in Shandong, 2 cases in Guangdong, 2 cases in Yunnan, 2 cases in Shaanxi, 1 case in Tianjin, 1 case in Zhejiang, 1 case in Chongqing), 182 cases in local cases (180 cases in Shaanxi, including 175 cases in Xi'an City, 3 cases in Xianyang City, and 2 cases in Yan'an City; 1 case in Zhejiang, in Shaoxing City; and 1 case in Yunnan City, in Kunming City). There were no new deaths. There were no new suspected cases.

On the same day, 92 new cured and discharged cases were cured, 2436 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of severe cases decreased by 1 case compared with the previous day.

31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 21 new cases of asymptomatic infection, of which 18 cases were imported from abroad and 3 cases were local (2 cases in Yunnan, both in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture; 1 case in Guizhou, in Tongren City); there were no confirmed cases on the same day; 20 cases were released from medical observation on the same day (19 cases imported from abroad); 496 cases of asymptomatic infected people who were still under medical observation (467 cases were imported from abroad).

A total of 29,607 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 12,598 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (12,189 cases discharged from hospital, 213 deaths), 78 cases in Macao Special Administrative Region (77 cases discharged from hospital), and 16,931 cases in Taiwan Region (13,742 cases discharged from hospital, 850 deaths).
