On September 2, the Central Propaganda Department issued the "Notice on Carrying Out Comprehensive Management of the Cultural and Entertainment Fields", expanding the scope of rectification from the rice circle to the entire performing arts and entertainment industry. The "Circular" calls for curbing the profits of bad capital, resisting sky-high film remuneration, rationally allocating the proportion of costs, strictly investigating and punishing tax evasion, and effectively maintaining market order. The "Circular on Further Strengthening the Management of Literary and Art Programs and Their Personnel" issued by the State Administration of Radio and Television put forward that it is necessary to resolutely resist illegal and immoral personnel, resolutely oppose the theory of only traffic, resolutely resist pan-entertainment, resolutely resist high-priced film remuneration, earnestly strengthen the management of practitioners, carry out professional and authoritative literary and art criticism, give full play to the role of industry organizations, and earnestly perform management duties and supervision trends.

With the in-depth rectification of the Central Cyberspace Administration, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and other management departments, major platforms have also issued announcements on rectifying the chaos in the rice circle. To rectify the rice circle, the first to bear the brunt is Weibo.

On August 6, Weibo announced the release of the "Star Force List".
