During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the commander used three secret letters to persuade the pseudo-general to lead 8,000 people to revolt and die well

Sun Tzu, a famous military figure in ancient China, said in his "Art of War of Sun Tzu": "Where the method of using soldiers is superior to that of the whole country, the destruction of the country is secondary; the whole army is superior, and the breaking of the army is secondary; the whole brigade is superior, and the broken brigade is secondary; the whole pawn is superior, and the broken pawn is secondary; the whole army is superior, and the broken army is secondary." Therefore, the good who wins every battle is also the good who is not good; the soldier who yields without fighting, and the good who is good. Therefore, in the battles of the past generations, the soldiers have always regarded "soldiers who do not have bloody blades but bow to others", which is the highest realm of the use of soldiers.

During the period of revolutionary war, our army also used the technique of "surrendering soldiers without fighting" from time to time, and the famous ones were the uprising of Fu Zuoyi and the uprising of Chen Mingren.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Shu Xing served as the commander of the 13th Regiment of the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region and the commander of the 14th Military Sub-district of the Jireliao Military Region.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the commander used three secret letters to persuade the pseudo-general to lead 8,000 people to revolt and die well

Shu Xing, a native of Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, was born in 1910, joined the Red Army in 1930, and later participated in the anti-"encirclement and suppression" battles and the Long March, successively serving as the platoon commander of the special agent company of the Red Third Army, the political instructor of the teaching battalion company, and the general secretary of the Tenth Regiment of the Fourth Division of the Red First Army.

During the Spring Festival of 1944, Huang Fanggang, commander of the Pseudo-Manchurian Southwest Border Defense Zone, who was stationed in Xinglong County, crossed the Great Wall and fired at the base areas of Pinggu County, such as Beishuiyu, Nanshuiyu, Shangbaiyang, Luojiagou, Yuzishan, and Beizhai. Suddenly, several shells flew from the north, some of which hit the pot, and a pot of dumplings splashed all over the sky. When the local people saw this, they were indignant and complained to Commander Shuxing one after another, demanding that Huang Fanggang, a traitorous stronghold, be removed.

Who is Huang Fanggang? Born in Liaocheng, Shandong in 1902, he joined the Northeast Anti-Japanese League after graduating from the Whampoa Military Academy, but soon after was forced to defect to the Japanese as a traitor, he served as the commander of the puppet Manrehe Infantry Regiment, the brigade commander and the commander of the Xinglong County Garrison, with the rank of major general.

After hearing the voices and demands of the masses, Commander Shuxing first considered Huang Fanggang's background, he was originally from the Whampoa Military Academy, and now he was a traitor, probably also forced by helplessness, should be an object that can be won; second, considering the situation of the Thirteenth Regiment at that time, the East was the Japanese Devil's Yanjing Road, the west was Pseudo-Manchuria, and the north was Huang Fanggang's stronghold, and the Thirteenth Regiment he led was like a sharp knife inserted into the enemy. Therefore, in order to avoid being attacked on three sides, we had to stabilize the north.

Therefore, he wrote a letter to Huang Fanggang: "Mr. Jiuwen zhishu Dali, for a man of insight on the banks of the Songhua River, in order to save China from water and fire, he was trained in Huangpu, hung flowers in the Guangzhou riots, and after being healed in Shanghai, he went to his hometown in the northeast to make a revolution." Unexpectedly, the wind turned, and Mr. Li had already served outsiders, and I thought it was really immersive, not what I wanted. My hometown is in Ji'an, Jiangxi, for the banks of the Ganjiang River, a cow baby, broke free of the upside-down rope, only to embark on the revolutionary road, from childhood did not read poetry, only remember a Chinese saying: 'The bowl of the duanren is managed by people.' You also come to 'sweep' to carry out the orders of your superiors, and you can't make a difference if you don't come. But eating dumplings during the Spring Festival is a thousand-year tradition of my Chinese nation, go to Mr. Hanwang to be a conscientious Chinese, you have shells to hit farther, don't hit us in the pot, this is what Mr. Hanwang can do. ”

After the first secret letter was sent, he received a reply from Huang Fanggang, who said: "Your Excellency," you have read the book several times, your excellency knows my hidden intentions so well, your heartfelt words, stab me in pain, really want to disarm and return to the field, helpless to ride the tiger, I am not immersed in the scene, I am actually trapped in its well." But rest assured, sir, that I will be a conscientious Chinese and have a pleasant holiday. ”

On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Huang Fanggang's troops began to fire artillery again, but this time the artillery hit very strangely, and the shells fell on the ravine outside the village and the troop station. Shu Xing felt that Huang Fanggang was an object that could be won over, and then wrote a second secret letter to him, first praising his mid-Autumn Festival behavior as "words must be done, and deeds must be fruitful". At the same time, he also told him: "In the second battlefield of Europe, the Allies have won frequent victories, heroic Sons and Daughters of China, and the anti-Japanese resistance will definitely be victorious!" When the day of the victory of the War of Resistance, how did Mr. Li see the people of the country? The bitter sea is boundless, and the back is the shore. If Mr. Abandons the Tiger and escapes and runs to the cause of the liberation of the Chinese nation, brother, I am willing to help, and I hope that Mr. Wang will think twice! ”

Shortly after the second letter was sent secretly, the situation in the international anti-fascist war changed greatly, and our country's War of Resistance had entered the period of the Great Counteroffensive.

By the time the Soviet army had decided to send troops to the northeast, Shu Xing thought it was time to fight for Huang Fanggang anyway!

So he wrote a third secret letter to Huang Fanggang, pointing out: "The Soviet army is marching eastward, the Japanese Kwantung army is gradually retreating, the time has come for you to serve the country, if you take the Twenty-fourth Regiment to participate in the revolution, the regiment will still be led by you, and you will not leave the brothers of the Twenty-fourth Regiment." Now that the country's situation has been determined, where does sir go? I hope to make a decision immediately so that we can cooperate as much as possible. ”

On August 15, after Japan announced its unconditional surrender, under the circumstance that the Kuomintang and puppet Manchukuo were both fighting for Huang Fanggang's troops, Shu Xing immediately assigned underground personnel to interview Huang Fanggang and decided to lead his troops to approach Xinglong.

One evening, Chen Yunzhong, the commander of the Sixteenth Regiment, called Shu Xing and said, "Huang Fanggang has arrived, please see Commander Shu!" ”

Huang Fanggang saw Shu Xing hugging his head and crying, saying, "I did something I shouldn't have done, I didn't have the face to see Chinese, I'm guilty!" Thank you Shu Gong for teaching and guiding me. Commander Your Excellency's three letters, I have read them many times, the parents of those who gave birth to me, and Shu Gongye, who knows me. I found a confidant in the Communist Party in my 50s. Shu Gong said to my state of mind: 'Being trapped in this situation is not what the heart wants.' 'I revolt and demand unified command from the commander!' ”

On August 21, 1945, Huang Fanggang led 3 large regiments of the puppet Manchu Army and 15 crusades with a total of 8,000 people to revolt, and Shu Xing, commander of the 14th Army Sub-district, asked his superiors to reorganize it into an independent fourth brigade and appointed Huang Fanggang as the brigade commander.

Soldiers who yield without fighting, and those who are good are also good. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Huang Fanggang served as the deputy director of the Civil Affairs Department of Heilongjiang Province, the director of the Department of Communications, the vice chairman of the 1st-3rd CPPCC Committee of Heilongjiang Province, and the chairman of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang. He died in 1975 at the age of 73.

After Shu Xing, he served as chief of staff of the Rehe Military Region, chief of staff of the Jirecha Military Region, chief of staff of the 50th Army of the Northeast Field Army, and first deputy commander of the Jilin Provincial Military Region. He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955 and died in 2000 at the age of 90.
