Jeep Trojan 4xe opens the recall! The odometer showed an anomaly, involving nearly 3,000 vehicles

Recently, according to overseas media reports, Jeep is preparing to recall some Jeep Wrangler 4xe models due to abnormal odometer display on some vehicles, and the odometer may stop displaying after reaching 21,437 kilometers. It is reported that the recall will be for models produced from September 8, 2020 to September 13, 2021, involving a total of 2903 vehicles.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) noted in the recall notice that if the odometer value is not displayed, owners may miss critical vehicle maintenance periods, increasing the likelihood of parts failing due to lack of maintenance and increasing the risk of crashes. To address this, Jeep will update the odometer on vehicles showing less than 21,437 km to bring them back to normal, while for those with more than 21,437 km, Jeep will replace them with a brand new gauge set.

Aside from this issue, the other parts of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe are all right. It is reported that the official will notify the owner by email on the 28th of next month that the owner needs to drive the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and the owner of the new instrument group can also get a certain compensation.
