Dozens of employees have left the development team of Ubisoft's classic game series, including Assassin's Creed, Watchdog, and Far Cry, and some employees say that the personnel changes have affected the current development progress of the game.
Recently, Axios interviewed 12 game developers who are currently and have worked at Ubisoft, and according to them, 5 of the top 25 people in the development of Far Cry 6 have left, and 12 of the top 50 people in the development team of Assassin's Creed: The Temple of Heroes have also left. Speaking of the reasons for leaving, these people revealed that on the one hand, it was because of low wages, in order to find better treatment and opportunities, and on the other hand, it was disappointing for Ubisoft to deal with conflicts, gender discrimination and harassment within the company.
Although Kotaku had previously reported that Ubisoft had raised salaries for all employees of the Canadian studio last November, other Ubisoft studios around the world had not been so lucky. This also disappointed employees at other Ubisoft studios.
