According to the company's previously released 2021 annual performance report, its revenue for the whole year last year was 8.518 billion yuan, achieving a net profit attributable to the mother of 371 million yuan, of which the game business revenue was about 7.421 billion yuan and the net profit attributable to the mother was about 720 million yuan. And Perfect World predicts that in the first quarter of 2022, it may achieve a net profit attributable to the mother of 830 million yuan to 850 million yuan, up 79% to 83% year-on-year, and the game business is expected to achieve a net profit of 850 million yuan to 870 million yuan, up 99% to 104% year-on-year.

Previously, at the end of December last year, Embracer Group acquired Perfect World North America and Perfect World Issuing Company (collectively known as Perfect World Entertainment) for US$125 million (including US$60 million in cash and US$65 million in B shares of the group). According to public information, after the completion of the transaction, PWE will be merged into Gearbox Entertainment as a wholly-owned subsidiary, but will remain independent and continue to focus on game publishing and creation.

In addition, according to PWE, the transaction was completed in the first quarter of this year, confirming non-recurring revenue of about 400 million yuan, and plans to release a new game this year and launch 5 new games by 2024.

It is understood that embracer group publishers include Gearbox Entertainment, THQ Nordic and Deep Silver, and its subsidiaries have launched a number of popular games, such as Gearbox's "Borderlands" series, 4A Games' "Metro" series, Tarsier Studios' "Little Nightmare" series, 3D Realms' "Duke Doom" series, etc. In addition, the group revealed in the latest financial report that a total of 197 games are currently under development, and plans to release 25 AAA games by 2026.
