At that time, a famous scholar in China wrote a poem to an ordinary student, which must have caused a great sensation, so Shang Shu Yinglian also wanted to meet He yan and try how talented He Yan really was. He summoned Hezhen to the palace and asked him to write him a plaque. Through the plaque written by Hezhen, Yinglian saw that Hezhen was very extraordinary in both brush writing and literary thought. But he knew that he was not from a high-ranking family and had a low status, so in the early days he paid great attention to his own image, and everyone who sought him to do things was on official business and never accepted bribes, so in the early days of the officialdom, he had a good reputation with Yan. It reached Qianlong's ears, and Qianlong thought that the seedling he had chosen was very correct. So Wakan's packaging of himself is important for his career to take off.
He Yan is also good at reading the emperor's thoughts, and his every move is deeply pleasing to Qianlong, which is an important factor in standing firm and being able to go up, so we say that He Yan is old enough to do things. The first time he dealt with corrupt officials was Li Shiyao, a feudal official, who served as the governor of Liangguang, Huguang, and Yungui. Li Shiyao often paid tribute to Qianlong for rare treasures, which were deeply appreciated by Qianlong. Such a person, Qianlong asked He Yan to deal with his corruption problem.
After He Yan went, he first appeased the Inspectors of Yunnan and Guizhou under the Governor of Yungui and told them that this matter had little to do with you, and that you only had to expose it.
