Have you ever experienced running in the dark? This action transmits warmth in the name of light

Shanghai has a "Dialogue in the Dark" experience hall, which originated from documentary journalist Andrei? Hannick established the world's first dialogue experience hall in the dark in Germany, aiming to eliminate social prejudice against people with disabilities and build a platform for dialogue between the blind and ordinary people. To date, Dialogue in the Dark has spread across 40 countries and involved more than 10 million people.

So, have you ever felt running in the dark? Blindfolded, unable to see the road ahead, led by the escorts around you, you can feel the energy of the body and the experience of contact with natural things such as sunlight and wind. Just last weekend, global sports brand New Balance, together with the Dark Running Group and yue running circle, held a donation ceremony for the "Light Chasing Action" public welfare project in Shanghai, focusing on a group of special people on the running track - visually impaired runners, and contributing a small contribution to them in the form of public welfare donations.

It is reported that the Dark Running Group is a national public welfare running project for the visually impaired initiated by "Dialogue in the Dark", which aims to encourage and help visually impaired people to go out of their homes and participate in sports such as running. Since its establishment in 2016, the Dark Running Group now has more than 3,000 registered members, including more than 2,100 escorts, more than 400 visually impaired runners, and other disabled runners. As a nationwide public welfare running organization for the visually impaired, the Dark Running Group allows the wider visually impaired people to enjoy the beautiful changes brought by running to their lives.

In mid-November, New Balance cooperated with Yue Running Circle to officially launch the "Light Chasing Action" public welfare project on the Yue Running Circle platform. Runners participating in the activity can redeem the public welfare equipment fund by donating the number of running kilometers, and every 1 kilometer can be exchanged for 1 yuan of the public welfare equipment fund, and runners who have exchanged for 10 kilometers can apply to become "light chasers". If the total redemption mileage exceeds 1 million kilometers, New Balance will donate 1 million yuan worth of sports equipment to the dark running group to support visually impaired runners to enjoy running easily.

The reporter learned that once the "Light Chasing Action" public welfare project was launched, it caused a warm response, and runners across the country actively participated in it. During the campaign period from November 18 to December 1, the platform was attended by nearly 68,300 people and more than 1.33 million kilometers were running. According to the commitment, New Balance donated 1 million yuan worth of sports equipment to the Dark Running Group, which will help visually impaired runners light up the way forward and run out of the future.

A representative of the Dark Running Group said that the visually impaired runners can continue to strengthen their fitness through running, and this support, help and encouragement from all walks of life will make them move forward. Although they cannot see the light, the light in their hearts will never be extinguished by this great love.

It is reported that New Balance has been practicing the firm mission of "NB Gives Back" as the main purpose, and bringing health to the world through global volunteerism, subsidies, joint promotion, sponsorship and donation. Based on this "light chasing action", enterprises will continue to give back to the Chinese market in the future and make more contributions in the field of public welfare.
