Today (December 15), publisher Slitherine showcased a demo video of the officially licensed adaptation of the classic American science fiction tv series Stargate, Timekeepers.
"Stargate" is an American drama that was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as the "longest-running science fiction series", and was later surpassed by the British "Doctor Who" series, with many loyal fans. Stargate: SG-1 first aired in 1994.
Stargate: Timekeeper was first announced in May and showed the gameplay for the first time earlier today at the Home of Wargamers event on Twitch. Set in the SG-1 universe, Timekeeper is a small-scale tactical game with 14 missions. Commander Eva McCain and her team will be responsible for supporting a unit fighting the Anubis army.
According to Slitherine, the choices players make are important. Stargate: Timekeeper has "multiple potential endings", and while guaranteed to be true to the original, alien technology will allow player-controlled teams to travel back in time and try again and again in the event of a mistake.
