Recently, this newspaper received a report that Ms. Wu's 9-year-old son secretly played online games and spent more than 80,000 yuan to recharge the game. After a long negotiation between Ms. Wu and the game company, only two non-local game companies refunded 78 yuan, and the rest of the game companies and the Apple Store operator did not refund the money, but insisted that they provide evidence. How to solve Ms. Wu's experience, and how to guide children to use these products in the era of electronic products? This newspaper conducted an interview on this.

Parents: The child recharged more than 80,000 yuan, and the refund encountered difficulties in obtaining evidence

At 6:40 p.m. on April 18, Ms. Wu returned home and opened her Alipay on her mobile phone to buy something, but when she made the payment, she found that the balance was insufficient. So, she opened Alipay's billing records and found that her account was deducted more than 1,000 yuan almost every day. Ms. Wu didn't think much about it and immediately called the police.

After calling the police, Ms. Wu suddenly reacted: It is also possible that her son has recharged the game. Thinking of this, Ms. Wu immediately put down her work and verified with her 9-year-old son. Sure enough, Ms. Wu's worries were true, but when asked how much money the child had recharged, the child was not clear.

At this time, Ms. Wu received a call from the police of the Jiashan Police Station and hurriedly went to the police station with her child.

After arriving at the police station, Ms. Wu's children demonstrated the process of logging in and recharging the game to the police. During the communication between the police and the child, Ms. Wu learned the ins and outs of the matter. It turned out that Ms. Wu's son started to recharge the game on March 20, and as of April 18, a total of 84,835 yuan was recharged. The recharge involves game software under multiple platforms, such as "Peace Elite" and "Honor of Kings" under the Tencent platform, "Cat and Mouse" under the NetEase platform, and games from other foreign game companies such as "Ultraman Legendary Heroes" and "Plants vs. Zombies". The game software was purchased from the Apple Store on Ms. Wu's Apple iPad.

Subsequently, at the suggestion of the police, Ms. Wu collected relevant evidence and appealed to Apple, Tencent, NetEase and other game platforms, hoping to recover the money. But until May 13, Ms. Wu only recovered 78 yuan returned by the two game companies. Ms. Wu said: "My son also recharged more than 1,400 yuan in a company, and the other party promised to refund half of it, but I didn't agree. ”

In the more than 20 days after the police were called, Ms. Wu communicated with Apple several times, but did not receive a corresponding refund. Ms. Wu consulted a lawyer. The lawyer said that where a person with limited capacity for civil conduct spends money inappropriate for his or her age or intelligence by participating in online paid games or "tipping" on online livestreaming platforms without the consent of his guardian, and the guardian requests that the network service provider return the money, the court supports it.

According to Ms. Wu, Apple's customer service staff said that because the ID number of the payment was Ms. Wu herself, it was impossible to prove that the payment was made by a child, so the payment could not be refunded. Other game companies also require evidence of the child's top-up, but Ms. Wu has a hard time providing it. For this, Ms. Wu was very distressed.

Discussion: How to guide your child when he is surrounded by electronic devices

On May 13, Ms. Wu's son demonstrated to reporters the process of playing the game. I saw him familiarly use his fingerprint to open the Apple iPad and enter various game interfaces. He introduced that the main purpose of game recharge is to break through the level and buy equipment. He usually teams up with his classmates to play games on WeChat after school, and discusses how to win the game at school.

Ms. Wu introduced that when her son was a child, she applied for a WeChat account for him and asked him to grab red envelopes together in the family group. When my son was older, he played a few online games with his cousin and got into contact with the game. Usually, in order to let my son actively complete his homework, he will also be rewarded with permission to play games, but I didn't expect my son to be fascinated. Ms. Wu usually binds a bank account on her iPad due to work needs, and Alipay inadvertently opens passwordless payment, which caused this incident. This was very distressing to Ms. Wu.

In today's Internet era, electronic products are everywhere, and parents have a headache about how to guide their children to treat games correctly.

Some parents think that their children's games cannot be avoided, and they can only control the time appropriately. Ms. Chen's family lives on Taiping Road, Xiufeng District, and her son is a first-grade primary school student. She believes that sometimes when friends get together, children team up to play games if they don't have something particularly interesting, and if one of the kids doesn't know how to do it, or doesn't have a cell phone, they're isolated. Parents can also accompany their children to other activities so that they do not have time to play games, but most parents have a hard time sticking to them and can only play games for their children occasionally.

Ms. Guo, who lives in Nanxi Mansion, Sunac Cultural Tourism City, Qixing District, believes that it is necessary to create a good family atmosphere. Children do not have the opportunity to play online games at school, so parents should keep an eye on them at home and try to keep their children away from touching their mobile phones.

Ms. Li, who lives in Xiufeng District, believes that even if children do not touch mobile phones in primary school, they will be exposed to them in junior high school, so parents should educate their children about "financial intelligence" and provide correct guidance. In order to avoid children topping up games, parents need to set up payment, turn off fingerprint payment, face recognition payment, and set up youth mode.

Ms. Jiang, a parent of a first-grade student at Lequn Primary School, shared her experience. She said that the tablet for children should be a learning machine type, there must be a parental control end, the download of any software must be reviewed and approved by parents, and all apps are set to use the time, it is recommended not to install chat and video software such as WeChat, and the app store sets a password and requires a password for each download. She believes that the use of apps can be controlled, and parents should take the time to study it.

Ms. Xu, who lives near the gymnasium in Qixing District, said her daughter is a fourth-grade primary school student. Her experience is that children should not be too idle, and can be guided to play outdoors or watch cartoons, but not online games.

Experts: Effective parental companionship is "good medicine"

Tan Hong, vice principal of Guilin No. 18 Middle School (East Ring Campus), believes that 9-year-old children are very young, have no concept of money, and lack self-control. As long as it is a student, regardless of elementary and secondary school, it is necessary to resolutely prohibit playing games. Once a child is addicted to gaming and the Internet, it is very difficult to quit.

In terms of avoiding children's game recharge, Tan Hong believes that parents should first manage their bank accounts, and Alipay, WeChat, and credit cards should be paid attention to at any time to avoid children's password-free payment. Secondly, effective companionship is very important. Children in primary school have poor self-control, and the environment is very critical, and parents need to guide them correctly after school. You can arrange for your child to go downstairs to exercise and exercise. If your child still has time, you can guide him to do chores appropriately. Children should not be allowed to play with their phones and watch TV on Monday through Friday nights. On weekends, parents can cultivate their children's hobbies, such as basketball, badminton and other sports exercises, and carry out art activities such as painting and music. You can also take your children to the park for outdoor activities, and invite relatives and friends for parent-child activities to effectively accompany your children and avoid having access to mobile phones and online games.

Tan Hong does not agree with the view of some parents that their children will be isolated if they do not play games. She believes that if children play games together, parents can step in to stop this phenomenon and keep children away from this environment.

Teacher Zhang from the primary school affiliated to Guilin University of Technology believes that some parents even bring their children to play games together, which is not recommended. There may be times when parents think that children need to relax, but once children become addicted to games, it is difficult to quit. And there are many ways to relax, even watching cartoons is better than playing games.

Teacher Zhang said that if you find that your child is playing games in a team with her classmates, you need to communicate with the student's homeroom teacher in time, and you can't delay the correct education in order to take care of the child's "face" at school.
