Apple's Employee Giving and Volunteer Program has contributed nearly $725 million over the past 10 years

IT House December 15, Apple today released a report that Apple has actively given back to the communities it considers home during the year, and the employee donation and volunteer program has raised nearly $725 million (about 4.618 billion yuan) in the past decade.

Apple supports local nonprofit organizations around the world through the Employee Giving program, corporate giving and grant programs that empower students, consult people in crisis, and feed families around the world. It House learned that for every hour or dollar that Apple employees volunteered for or donated a dollar, Apple converted their efforts into the equivalent of funds and donated them to the same organization.

In the U.S. and around the world, Apple and its employees are actively looking for new ways to give back to the communities they see as home.

Apple's Employee Giving and Volunteer Program has contributed nearly $725 million over the past 10 years

This year, Apple's Employee Giving program celebrates its tenth anniversary. To date, the program has raised nearly $725 million for 39,000 organizations worldwide. In 2021 alone, more than $120 million was distributed to organizations around the world. The funds raised through the Apple Employee Giving program include the equivalent of more than 2 million hours of volunteer service paid by 68,000 employees.

In addition to the contributions of the Employee Giving program, Apple's community investment team donates millions of dollars each year to nonprofit organizations around the world, such as World Central Kitchen, Martin Luther King Jr. Center, and the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation.

Apple also donates millions of dollars each year through the Strengthen Local Communities (SLC) Grant Program, which is designed to fund local organizations in the communities where Apple team members live and work.
