Chen Shihua also said that the total sales volume of the automobile market next year will reach 27.5 million units, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year.

Among them, passenger car sales are expected to reach 23 million units next year, an increase of 8% year-on-year; commercial vehicle sales next year will be 4.5 million units, down 6% year-on-year.

In addition, sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach 5 million units next year, an increase of 47% year-on-year.

IT Home learned that according to the statistics released by the China Automobile Association, from January to November 2021, the production and sales of new energy vehicles continued to reach a new high, with cumulative output exceeding 3 million units and sales close to 3 million vehicles.

In November, the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles was 17.8%, which continued to be higher than that of the previous month, of which the market penetration rate of new energy passenger cars reached 19.5%.
