【Zhichepai News】On December 14, Zhichepai learned that Hyundai has announced the price of its IONIQ 5 series. The IONIQ 5 is Hyundai's first electric vehicle based on the company's new E-GMP platform, with prices ranging from $39,700 to $54,500 (about 346,800 yuan). Much cheaper than rival Ford Mustang Mach-E.
The IONIQ 5's EPA rating range is 300 miles (about 483 km), but this range is only available for select models. It is also worth mentioning that the above price does not include the cost of transporting the vehicle to the destination for 1225 US dollars (about 8000 yuan).
IONIQ 5 is available in seven variants and three versions: SE, SEL and Limited. The basic SE Standard Range is the cheapest in its class, equipped with a 168-horsepower (HP) rear-mounted motor and a 58kWh battery, and is expected to last 220 miles (about 354km) when fully charged. The version will be available sometime next spring.
The rest of the versions are equipped with a larger 77.4kWh battery and can choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrains. The AWD version is more expensive, comes with dual motors, and has an EPA estimated range of 320HP and 256 miles (about 412km). The RWD version, on the other hand, has 225HP and is expected to travel 303 miles (about 488km) on a single charge.
The mid-range IONIQ SE RWD version costs $43,650 (about 277,800 yuan) and the AWD version costs $47,150 (about 300,000 yuan); the SEL RWD model costs $45,900 (about 292,100 yuan), and the AWD model costs $49,400 (about 314,300 yuan); IONIQ Limited The RWD version is priced at $50,600 (about 322,000 yuan), and the AWD version is priced at $54,500 (about 346,800 yuan). Unlike the SE standard series, the remaining models will be available later this month.
Despite price differences, all versions are equipped with 350kW DC fast charging, as well as a "vehicle-to-load" system that charges electronics, power small appliances, and charge other electric vehicles. In addition, purchasing IONIQ can earn up to $7500 in tax credits, making it even cheaper.
