
November insurance data came out, the overall passenger car market insurance volume of the two data sources were 1.758 million units, 1.7655 million units, an increase of less than 80,000 units, compared with the one-sided new energy vehicle data, in fact, the entire automotive industry is still gradually recovering. In this piece of new energy vehicles, 294,000 pure electric vehicles and 72,700 plug-in hybrid models are insured, a total of 366,700 units, and the penetration rate is 20.7%, which is quite exaggerated.

Part 1: Overview of the overall situation of the car market
This year's car market situation is actually more difficult, the high growth rate on the surface corresponds more to the low base in 2020, passenger car insurance data has continued to grow negatively since August, the current single month insurance volume is about 1.758 million, 2021 January to November accumulated 18.813 million units, this year's forecast in the last month to see if it can rush to about 1.9 million units, the annual cumulative total of about 20.7 million units.

Part 2: The situation of new energy vehicles
In November, brands with a total number of more than 10,000 units were insured, as shown in the figure below, corresponding to the data of "Table 2". Overall, the recovery of foreign brands is not particularly good, more than 100,000 units are only Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota, 50,000-100,000 units are only Nissan, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Buick, Audi is close to 50,000 units.

1) Due to the demand for the economy, companies with more TO B models have also begun this round of pulling, and the typical brands are also clear to everyone.
2) BYD has become the single highest-selling brand in the independent car companies, surpassing Geely, which is indeed particularly interesting.

From the perspective of the price segment, it can reflect a lot of things -
1) BYD new energy vehicles are concentrated in the two price segments of 100,000-150,000 and 150,000-200,000, and there is also a significant breakthrough in the price of more than 200,000, and the current strategy of BYD exchanging price for sales is still very effective;
2) Weilai, ideal and Xiaopeng: As expected, Xiaopeng still formed a state of balanced development of the two price segments of 150,000-200,000 and more than 250,000, and the high-end version of P5 we will do a separate analysis later.
3) 150,000-200,000 In fact, there are a large number of TO B vehicles, such as BAIC, Dongfeng, and Ean, which is the demand for one-time pulses.
4) In the price segment below 100,000, below 50,000 is the competition between Wuling and Chang'an; 50,000-80,000 is the main battlefield of Chery, Sihao, Zero Run and Clever; the 8-100,000 section is the three-legged stand of Euler, Nezha and Chery, and the price war in this section is very fierce.

With the following table, we can see more clearly the performance of different brands of new energy vehicles in various car series (levels). However, there are some cases where the classification of models is confused, and we can do some correction according to the specific models.
Objectively speaking, I think the challenge of A-class cars in 2022 is still very large, although the demand for the TO B market has been there, but this type of vehicle is very sensitive to costs, and under the two-way effect of rising battery costs and subsidies, it is good to keep the operating market, which is a heavy blow for the entire personal market.
