Pang Tong was a Xiangyang native, known as the "Phoenix Chick", and was one of the most important military divisions in the later period of Liu Bei's camp. Pang Tong was a man of talent to assist the emperor, and he disdained the position of county commander, so he did not pay attention to political affairs and drank alcohol every day, and he was later deposed as an official. Pang Tong believed that Yizhou should be used as a base, because the location of Jingzhou belonged to the land of four wars, with Cao Wei before and Eastern Wu after, and the alliance of Sun Liu who forcibly occupied Jingzhou must have broken down, causing them to fall into a situation of being attacked by the enemy on their backs. Pang Tong's greatest contribution in this life was to help Liu Bei occupy Sichuan and Shu, and when Liu Bei and Liu Zhang broke up, he gave Liu Bei three strategies, and Liu Bei used the middle plan, but he was killed by an ambush arrow during the attack.
