Exhibition highlights: "OCAT Biennale" was formerly known as the "Shenzhen Sculpture Biennale" that began in 1998. The theme of this year's Biennale, "Boomerang", was originally a hunting weapon used by Australian Aborigines and can fly back to its original location when thrown. The use of this name and the principles, trajectories and effects of flight as the title of the exhibition symbolically refers to the situation of mutual influence and containment between our current societies, as well as the difficult situation in the face of the future, or it is also a counterproductive result.

Exhibition highlights: The invitation exhibition of young and middle-aged artists of the National Academy of Painting of China exhibits the creative achievements of the young and middle-aged artists in the academy in the form of a solo exhibition, with diverse forms, themes and rich content. The main purpose of the exhibition is "the avenue is not alone", which is to encourage artists to continuously explore, pursue, exchange and learn from each other while carrying forward the avenue of art, and make due contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Since the late 1970s, Huang Rui has been active at the forefront of Chinese contemporary art as an independent artist and art activist, and his pioneering practice in the development of Chinese contemporary art has become an indelible mark on the development of Chinese contemporary art. As Huang Rui's largest solo exhibition in the past ten years, the exhibition covers dozens of works including paintings and sculptures, including Huang Rui's latest abstract creation "Heaven, Earth, Man" series in 2021, the 2020 oil painting "Youdao - No Dao" series for the first public exhibition, and multiple series of abstract creations presented with the clues of "early abstraction", "space", "spatial structure", "ink experiment" and "installation works".
