Plum blossom cake originated in the Ming Dynasty, and when it developed into the Qing Dynasty, it became the most famous Han Chinese cake snack in the Jiangnan region. According to legend, when the Qianlong Emperor descended jiangnan, he saw its shape like a plum blossom and its color was attractive, so he pretended to taste it. The entrance is sweet but not greasy, soft and crisp, the aftertaste is endless, better than the royal point of the court, clapping hands and applauding. Because of its shape like a plum blossom, it is named plum blossom cake. The plum blossom cake is mixed with flour, yeast flour and water into a pulp, injected into a roasted plum blossom mold, added with bean paste, fresh meat, vegetable lard, roses and other fillings, and then injected with the sizing, sprinkled with sugar, red and green melon shreds, and baked on the cake mold with a hot iron plate.
